Kata Tranquil Villa

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Kata Tranquil Villa. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, offering a perfect retreat. The manager was incredibly welcoming and always willing to help. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Kata Beach, with charming little shops along the way. If I have the opportunity to return to Phuket, I’d definitely choose to stay here again.

Brilliant property with excellent staff. The room felt secluded, spacious and was immaculate. The balcony provided a shaded seating area with a well equipped outside kitchen. I rarely return to the same property, but will make an exception with Kata Tranquil Villa. Loved it.

Excellent host. Room we had booked was unavailable, so we had to accept other accommodations.

I came really late (around 11pm) but there was a lovely lady still there to greet me and check me in. Everything was fine- only thing is, I am a female solo traveller and it’s a tiny bit away from everything (good for light sleepers like me) so when I got a taxi to the hotel at first the driver could not find it for like 15 minutes and I was nervous that he would just drop me anywhere because he started getting frustrated! Luckily we did find it in the end but in the dark it’s a little hard. It is a very good location for the big Buddha hike!!! I did it alone and please beware there were lots of monkeys in my path I had to wait for another hiker to come to scare them off as I was scared! Overall I would recommend.

We had an excellent suit room. Clean and really big. You can easily park a car in front of the hotel.

Great location very welcoming, helpful staff. Property kept spotless inside and out. In-house laundry and quality scooters available.

Very good place to stay. The bed was super comfortable and the aircon was outstanding. Spouse and I stayed for a week and were very relaxed the whole time.

Great little botique hotel in the Kata area of Phuket. Off of the main street so it is clean and quiet. The hotel was an oasis of clean after coming back for the night. Kata Tranquil Villa was a great value for the money. Would definitely stay here again. My only complaint was that the staff turned off the air conditioning while I was out even after I rigged it to stay on leading to a very hot room when I returned.

The room was clean, the staff very friendly. Within walking distance to the beach and shops.

The staff here were wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Easy to book taxis with and/or through them, helpful with local attractions and directions. We had dinner there most nights because the food was amazing! Rooms were nice and clean, and cleaned every day. Aircon, free wifi, walking distance to the beach but they do have a shuttle to Karon and Kata beaches every day. A bit further back from the beach means it's quieter than a lot of other places which we liked. A wonderful place to stay - highly recommend.

Overrated hotel that shouldn't even have the word 'tranquil' in its name. It's located next to a busy road used as shortcut by very noisy moped bikes and cars. When I booked this hotel, I specifically booked a separate bungalow in order to switch off and have a relaxing break. Sadly I was placed in a bungalow located right by the busy road, the walls of the bungalow are so thin, that regardless of how tired I was, I could not sleep. When I asked the reception desk staff to kindly move me to another bungalow, the employee manning the reception desk was picking his nose the whole time I spoke with him and was extremely unpleasant. I couldn't believe this vulgar behavior. Following my request, the hotel staff suggested that I move in one of the hotel rooms, which is also standing right by the same busy road. At this point, I couldn't take their crap anymore, and I demanded that given the room rate I paid, they had to place me in a bungalow that was not adjacent to the busy road. They reluctantly agreed to do it. But even during my stay in a so called quiet bungalow, from 6 AM there was loud tree cutting and some sort of construction going on. It did not even occur to the hotel management to acknowledge or apologize for the noise. In addition the towels provided by the hotel smelled of mold. The shower did not have hot water. The breakfast was not either. Unpleasant stay. Never again.

I have lived in Phuket for 4 years and have stayed in many hotels / guest houses during my time in Thailand. I was in the process of moving house and needed somewhere to stay locally. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the room was immaculate. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Would like to update they do have service for airport transfer at 1000b. Area is much more serene compared to patong area. There are nearby reastaurant and also a 24hrs mart. Overall, hotel is decent. No complains. The hotel does gives a resort vibe when its actually just along a street.

The hotel is in a quiet location with easy access to Kata and Karon ,you need to rent a motor bike to get around THB 250 from the hotel .Breakfast a little limited .Staff helpful and polite ,pool is small but was never crowded on our visit. The twin room was clean and modern and was cleaned every day ,bed linen and towels were changed regularly . Room had aircon with a fan on the balcony

Wonderful getaway, quiet hotel about 2km walk to Kata beach. Large villa, good beds, airco etc, even a microwave. Cold fridge. Not far to Kwong, a good restaurant. Laundry good, even found a missing jeans. Restaurant on site ok, but Kwong is better :) Pool smallish but ok, as usually empty. Occasional Russian to be heard vomiting somewhere, and traffic can be faintly heard, but relaxing. Recommended.

We stayed at Kata Tranquil Villa with the whole family. The villa is very nice - great decor, spacious and beautiful. A little bit far from beach, but OK. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
