Do NOT Book - Fraudulent Operation
I booked this hotel nearly 4 months in advance of our honeymoon for a four-night stay. I carefully reviewed the cancellation policy because I knew there was a possibility we would change plans. A couple weeks after making the reservation, I decided to cancel our booking due to questionable reviews I read of the hotel, still several months prior to travel. I️t took the hotel over THREE WEEKS to process the refund, and when it finally went through, $90 USD was missing from the refund. After multiple contacts to get an explanation, I was informed yesterday that this amount is due to “bank fees”. Nowhere in their policy does I️t mention specific amounts or percentages that will be levied for cancellations. In fact, their policy (included with my original confirmation email) is pasted below. ---Cancellation & Modification Policy--- - No charge will be levied on cancellation made more than 14 day(s) prior to the Check-In Date These folks are obviously in the practice of exploiting any ambiguity they might identify, and are not operating within their expressed policies for guests. Proceed with extreme caution!

Amazing stay
We had a great stay at P.P Erawan Palms Resort, we stayed for 3 nights. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged a long tail boat for us for the day to see the surrounding bays. The WiFi wasn’t working in the room but the staff sorted it so it worked better for us. Overall the staff were fantastic and tried their hardest to make sure you had a pleasant stay. The beach front is so beautiful and upon seeing the surrounding bays I would say this is the nicest beach on the island with hotels on it. I would not come to this side of the island if you want to party or being in a lively area. This part of the island was peaceful and more like paradise compared to the party chaotic side of the island. We stayed one night in the centre ( Tonsai) and wished we had stayed at P.P Erawan for another night instead. If you are looking to go into Tonsai it is much cheaper to get the ferry as longtails are rather expensive. The rooms are okay standard, good size and had everything you need. However the bed was not very comfortable. We didn’t go in the pool, it could do with a refurb which it looked like they were doing. Overall great stay and a great hotel with a lot of potential to be amazing. It looks like the staff are working hard to make it even better.

Can't wait to leave
Sorry but I have been traveling in Asia now for a month, it has been wonderful but this place has been a huge disappointment ! I couldn't wait to come to Phi Phi but after 24 hours I can't wait to leave. It night time in my room, waiting for daylight so we can leave,, The place is ok, it's a long way from paradise so don't rush to book your honeymoon. I'm normally a very positive person so why this review? I have been trying to get to grips with why it's so bad here..? I think it's the staff and the general lack of help and politeness? It feels it's all about how much money they can get out of you at every turn. The locals next door on the beach who run the restaurants is the same.. drinks wrong , food wrong ... everyone is going through the motions here just to get to the bit where you hand over money. Prices here are double everywhere else we have been to... Know one cares and it shows, they have a good thing going as each day new people turn up so why care if the current guests are happy or not? I tried to explain that over time the visitors will stop coming if they feel used and ripped off but of course I got no response! Very disappointed with the whole set up at this hotel and this northern stretch of beach..... other areas may be different but here, I'm just left with an empty feeling and desperately want the sun to rise so we can leave... I truly never expected my time on PP to turn out this way. Trading on its reputation and not on its current levels of service is how I some it up.

We had a superior building room and the room was clean and very spacious. The rooms are all situated very close together. The resort is situated on the beach with massage booths on the beach but the constant noise of long-tail boats ruins the experience. The reception staff was very unhelpful and spoke no or very little English. We were trying to find out our travel arrangements the day before check out and we received more help from the staff on the fairy than form the resort.
