Had a great time, the breakfast was amazing. Great house keeping. Fresh fruit and water everyday. The life guards were friendly and great to chat too and the door staff were very welcoming. I felt very welcomed throughout my whole visit. It was my first time visiting a new country so I was a little nervous initially. But I don’t have a bad word to say. I’ll definitely be back.

Great Location but Disappointing Attention to Detail We stayed at Shangri-La Chiang Mai right after celebrating a very special anniversary at Shangri-La Japan, so our expectations were naturally high. On the positive side, the hotel made a nice effort on arrival — our room was beautifully decorated for our anniversary, which we truly appreciated. The location is excellent, just about 5 minutes from the Night Bazaar, making it very convenient. However, the overall experience fell short due to several service and housekeeping issues. Right after check-in, we noticed stained bedsheets, which was quite disappointing. While housekeeping promptly replaced them, it felt like the issue was brushed off rather than properly acknowledged. Attention to detail was consistently lacking. On multiple occasions, coffee was served with spills and stains on the cups, which reflects poor service standards. There also didn’t seem to be any floor manager available to escalate or address feedback in real time. The breakfast experience was underwhelming. The Indian counter felt like an afterthought, with limited options and no proper menu to complement it, making it largely unusable for us. On one day, we returned to find our room had not been cleaned at all, and we had to call housekeeping to get it done. Incidents like these add up and take away from what should have been a relaxing stay. That said, the spa was outstanding and one of the highlights of the property.

Ideal location for families and those who want to go to the night market. The pool is great for kids, even has a slide! The lounge has nightly happy hour and breakfast has global food offering. The spa is amazing!
