Worth of every single baht. Great decoration, huge bathroom. I would stay here again if I have a change to visit this area in the future.

The room wasn't clean as good as it should be. The shower room is awful as it doesn't separate the section from dry area so it soaks all area.

Idyllic resort
Tranquil, peaceful resort set among lush greenery and right next to the River Kwai. There is a swimming pool, albeit small, so more of a wading pool really. But nice to soak in if you have just come back from a hot tour. Breakfast, as other reviews have pointed out, is not amazing but it's sufficient with an egg stand that does eggs how you like it (I got scrambled), with a small Asian/Thai foods section (which was not warm as the flame below was not lit), bread with jam and butter, and coffee or tea. The rooms were clean and cosy, provided amenities like soap and shampoo and cotton buds, and for the price paid, it was really quite a nice resort. Best part is its location as it's about a 200 metre walk to the River Kwai Bridge and museum and there are a lot of restaurants closeby. Wifi at the resort was an issue, however, as the signal was not strong at all, and this was in spite of being only the second room away from the lobby/reception area (Room 402). Most of the rooms at this resort are bungalow style with other rooms being in two 2-storey buildings (one close to the river and the other close to the entrance). However, the rooms close to the river do not face the river so you will not get a view of the river. Best to get a bungalow type room which is ideal and goes well with the natural, peaceful surroundings.

Ok for the price
We stayed here for 4 nights but wasn’t overly impressed. Room was quite nice and the gardens were pretty, made you feel like you were in a jungle which was great. Good location for the Bridge and station, also some nice restaurants nearby. You could reach town with all the bars and museums in about 5 mins by tuk tuk. The pool area was a little shabby, lots of decking was loose and wobbly and the underwater lights seemed to be hanging off exposing wiring. Could do with a little maintenance we felt. Staff weren’t particularly helpful.

And, back again.
Visited Kanchanaburi for 3 days last month and went straight to River Kwai Bridge Resort. Never disappointed in this resort, great wifi, food excellent, rooms always clean, good parking and the staff are great. Thanks again for a comfortable stay...It is the wet season now and it just bucketed down....very nice to get up early and walk down to the Bridge over the River Kwai.....see you next year.

Ideally situated
We stopped here for one night. It is ideally situated for access to the bridge and the war cemetery. The 'strip' is walkable with plenty of restaurants and bars. We ate at the Kan buri it was spot on good service and really nice food at a good price. The rooms are spacious and clean whilst being well worn. The breakfast was a little disappointing, to say the least.

Experience was ruined by certain staff
Firstly I'd like to say I enjoyed the hotel enough to extend my stay. It's situated right on the river with a deck and chairs you can enjoy a nice sunset at. The rooms are nice and clean with modern style. However, the process of extending the stay was the downfall. We requested the night we arrived to stay another night and they said it was no problem and that we could pay the next day. When we attempted to do so we were met with hostility from one female staff members. She demanded we pay a higher rate than what we booked on agoda for our first night, this was after we already committed to stay. We ended up having to pay an extra 500 baht for the same room you can get on agoda for cheaper. Other than that I would recommend this place, the bad or not so great points are as follows; -Bed is quite hard and only a double -Pool is kind of dirty and run down -Aircon is crap, even though it's incredibly loud and big -Hot water either boiling or non existent -Toilet smells a bit from water They did allow us to leave our bags for a few hours after check out which was nice but should be expected from any half decent hotel. Check out time was stated as 11:30 in the lobby but 12 on agoda and in the room. Again, if you can get it on agonda for a good price go for it. Just don't expect much from the lobby staff. The bungalows look good and are in a better position.
