Koh Kradan is a quiet island far from the noise of more well known spots like Phuket or Koh Phi Phi. There is no shopping and no nightlife, just gorgeous beaches and crystal clear water and coral reeves to enjoy. The Seven Seas provides the ideal balance between quiet luxury, excellent service and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We almost a week at the resort in early January and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Staff promptly assisted with organising trips to nearby islands without being pushy. There is also a PADI branch within the compound that will provide very nice diving/snorkelling experiences (try the Koh Rock diving trip - it is wonderful, even if you just want to snorkel). I would go back anytime!

Wonderful stay! The porters greeted us at the ferry to take our bags to the lobby where we were welcomed with a fruit drink. (The ferry landing is almost right in front of the resort.) They were so helpful and informative with all things such as booking ferries and giving great advice about things to do on the island. The breakfast buffet was great with good coffee (beans ground from the machine!) All attractions are an easy walk. Our room was spacious and well kept with an incredible open-air bathroom. The location is right on the beach with great snorkeling and a scuba shop on site! We took a few dives and had a great experience taking a long-tail boat out to the gorgeous sites.

The room was lovely - the upgrade to a premier deluxe room was worth it. Staff was fantastic and very hospitable, and the restaurant was great, though spice levels were adjusted for wimpy European palates -- you need to tell them to make it Thai style when you order. I look forward to returning in the future. The best reef snorkeling is around where the tour boats anchor in the morning - it's great to head out there any time between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. or so after the tour boats are gone. The only minor irritation was that they charged 70 baht for a half-liter bottle of water, which is pretty steep. The mini mart at the Kradan Beach Resort next door sold 1.5 liter water bottles for 60 baht - a much better deal. Kradan Beach Resort will arrange transfers to the Krabi Airport or other mainland destinations for substantially less than Seven Seas: we paid 4,000 baht for a private transfer (longtail boat+minivan) to Krabi Airport, vs. a 6,000 baht quote for the same thing from Seven Seas. BTW, leaving fairly early in the morning (6 a.m. departure from Kradan), we got to the Krabi Airport in just 2 hours, 20 minutes - fast!

While we greatly enjoyed Koh Kradan - quite secluded and underwater was beautiful, I must say that we were quite disappointed with the hotel. It's quite run down with many of beach sunbeds already eaten up by termites and mattress covers discoloured and stained. There were many ants and insects inside of our bedroom, some of which somehow managed to get inside of mosquito nets... The bathroom is open-air, meaning we had to take a shower before the sunset, otherwise you invite all sorts of insects. Swimming pool was very small and water was always very hot and murky. I got a massage once and the experience was terrible. The masseuse was okay, but their massage parlour was in a really bad shape - dirty, unorganised etc... A bit expensive for this kind of standard... Yes, it's the best accommodation in Koh Kradan, but compared to facilities in other places in Bangkok, we thought they charged us too much especially for the airport transportation and dinner. We spent 8 nights there, but probably 2 nights would have been sufficient. Make sure you choose one of the beach bungalows, not the standard accommodation, which is in a worse state.

Sevenseas has great location and beach. The room is good according to the condition of the island. But the hot water is not often, the WiFi is terrible. The food is not cheap, but the service is friendly. I enjoy my stay overall.

Probably the best hotel on the island hands down. Room was big, clean and huge bathrooms. Aircon was great too. Beach was very clean along with garden path. Pool staff and staff in resort also very nice and helpful.

This is one of two nice places to stay on Koh Krahdan. Directly in front of the hotel and to the left as you face the beach is some very good snorkeling about 100 yards off shore, but you can almost walk to the coral in mid and low tide. The only problem at the hotel is the wifi, in 5 days, it only worked twice, so I had to go to another restaurant that had wifi.

Koh kradan is a beautiful island. Keep in mind that there is nothing to do on the idea. The room was ok looks tired. The bed wasn't comfortable and the pillows were bad too. All on all it was ok. If it wasn't for such a high price tag for the room. I would look at a diff resort that is cheaper bc the amenities don't justify the high price

This was a wonderful stay for the amazing service, the food was really great especially given that they have to bring everything in by boat, for the fantastic breathtaking ocean and snorkeling. The only issue is there was a real ant problem. the mosquitos were ok given that they set up mosquito coils and a mosquito net but every morning we woke up with at least 20-30 ants crawling on us. they dont bite. it was a wonderful trip and I would do it again, maybe it was just our room. It is a rustic/luxury place and very close to nature so I understand that bugs are a part of that but it was hard for me to sleep (not for my husband)

Koh Kraden is spectacular! The Sevenseas is posh and lovely if you can afford it, but most hotels on this island are located on the same immaculate beach which is why you come. The rooms are beautiful and clean and smell awesome! Breakfast is great but we didn't try the food at the hotel otherwise. The only thing to note is the bathrooms are indoor/outdoor at this hotel which is unique but beware of creepy crawlers! Most of this island is a national park after all.

The main reason for staying at the Sevenseas is the location, i.e, the beach, and in that respect it is perfect. But the rooms are a little odd. The first floor rooms are sparsely furnished, but have the biggest bed I think I've ever seen, way beyond a king size. They might be better with smaller beds and a few other things instead (like a wardrobe or a table). The bathroom is open air - which is fine - but the fridge and tea/coffee facilities are also in the same space, something which I doubt would pass hygiene standards in other countries. What passes for a wardrobe (i.e. a rail) is also in this space which means your clothes are effectively hanging outside all the time. Housekeeping are in like a flash to make the bed, sweep the floor and clean the bathroom in the morning, but they don't seem to clean much else. The railing on the balcony was filthy and the stairway outside not cleaned once during our four days there. The breakfast is a bit disappointing, but the lunch and dinner menu is excellent. We don't like being held hostage to high resort prices so ate at a few other places along the beach but had to conclude that for variety, quality and authenticity, the Sevenseas restaurant is by far the best. So sod the expense and enjoy the food. So, location is great, restaurant is great, price is high for this part of Thailand, and a few things could clearly be improved, but all in all a very enjoyable stay.

Breathtaking arriving on such a wonderful place. Phone ahead to get assistance for your luggage. Very attentive staff, especially Mr Bird! Expensive food and drink, quality of food average. Pool is pleasant enough but no shade so beware the sun. Beach is one of the best ever, snorkelling great. Wifi only available near reception. No sunken bath as advertised. Outside shower great but rarely had warm water. Breakfast is of usual standard, nothing amazing. You have to spend at least one night here, but travelling with kids could be quite boring if not into snorkelling. No nighttime ents so bring cards! It's a must to visit.

The Sevenseas reminds us that, beyond a certain point, assuming gorgeous bedding, a jaw-droppingly amazing bathroom, and a beautiful view of the Andaman, what you're paying for is service. From the entry into the gorgeous, open-air lobby, being served with a fragrant towel and cold beverage, this is the best resort on the tiny island of Koh Kradan. I had lost a sweatshirt in a longtail on the way over, and the resort reached out to the boat company on a different island and coordinated to help in my getting it back. The service was incredible, attentive, and invisible when you didn't want to be disturbed. The bathroom was amazing! I don't know how I'll go back to showering in a standard indoor bathroom. It is where I will return when I go back to Koh Kradan. To know: -all water is brought onto the island, so there was a point during which the pool wasn't available - this seemed to be the case for several pools on the island at the same time. -food was pricey
