We had a great stay at Tom Pizza Resort. The staff is friendly, our accommodation was clean and overall a good location for your stay at the island.
Resort is good more than expected but don't recommend use travel agency at resort cause price is expensive and tour program isn't good
The mosquitoes are very good because the trees are very good. Price is reasonable if booked first. But a little expensive.
The atmosphere is as quiet as a private beach. Suitable for relaxing in the clear sea.
It is not quite good enough, but quite a lot of mosquitoes.
Its accommodation but no name "Crescent Village" makes customers go for a long while, the show "Tom Pizza" it is the same. As part of the service Polarized reception Smiling little bit Fear caught the eye clients I feel very intimate does not accept American breakfast taste good. But rice does not taste Due to my very long wait
Standard is not as described, just no air flammable, water heater, refrigerator, TV and even drinking water to a very small 3 x 4 meters when booking a villa meniscus. Booking is completed "Crescent Village" accommodation, but actually named "Tom Pizza Resort" makes a call to the property does not meet a need for more time to bring a lot of baggage. Walk more tired Upset enough to find accommodation without a porter. To walk alone Invite your customers to walk carrying their own.
The room will only have a bed, a bathroom and an air-conditioner only. The bed is comfortable, the mattress is soft and clean. The bathroom is spacious and clean. Air is not very good.
Hotel room rates in Superior. But the common room He argued that forgot to close the book on the Internet, yes, it's not your fault. But it is not the fault of the customer. To refund me if this case is not to do with one another.
Friendly service, quiet, suitable for relaxing.

peaceful budget resort right on the beach
As seasoned travellers in Asia i thought i would try to post an honest and un biased review of this resort. Hired an executive taxi from Bangkok to Bhan Phe , Expensive yes, but got us to the ferry port in 2 hours 30 minutes. There are regular busses from Bangkok, 200 Baht per person each way. Takes about 3.5 hours. Once arrived at Bhan Phe, there are numerous jettys that will take you to Nadan Pier (ko samet) cheap boat 100 baht per person return, 30 mins. Fast speed boat approx. 2000 Baht 10 mins Catamaran not sure. On arrival at Nadan pier you will see the semi naked mermaid. After getting off you will be approached by terminal staff and asked to donate 20 Baht each for terminal restoration. As you exit turn right and you will see the taxi vans. Ask any of the drivers which numbered van is for your hotel destination. Prices vary from 50 Baht to 100 baht depending on how far your resort is from the taxi rank. Ours was 20 mins. Word of warning! there is a compulsory charge of 200 Baht for entry to the island National park and military personnel will collect it from you on entry. The c samet road leading down to the resort has not been concreted and is extremely bumpy, however you will only really need to use this again on your departure. The reception is right on the beach, a modern concrete building with sofas and a bar area. Check in was painless and we were taken to our room. This was the cheap standard room. There have been some comments on the distance the accommodation is from the beach area. I was 305 the furthest row of chalets. I estimated 100 yards up quite a steep concreted stepped path. Timed it at about 3 minutes going up and about 2 coming down. No problem for most able bodied people. It would not be suitable for disabled persons, but the beach front cottages are on the flat and would be perfectly ok. There is a big difference in price for the sea view and beach front accommodation compared to the standard chalets. If you want to spend most of your time looking out to sea from your balcony then pay for the top priced cottages. This resort is certainly the most peaceful and also the coolest as the breeze blows through the resort. It also has the best swimming beach, clean white sand with shallow warm water a few yards away from resort .The beach is open to the public but as it is at the end of the stretch it is free from the masses. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate, egg station, toast, tea, coffee, fruits, juices, local food etc. The restaurant food was very good, especially the local cuisine. Staff were friendly. spoke reasonable English and appeared to be efficient. The standard of the rooms was generally good. They have been recently refurbished. T,V and A/C Panasonic models, all working well. There are plenty of other resorts, bars, restaurants minutes away from this resort, just take a walk along the beach and take your pick. All in all, this little gem of a place is great for value, has some great views and you wont be disappointed. Enjoy............

Very relaxing
Very nice resort, unfortunately when I booked this I didn't realise that it is built on a hillside so our chalet was what appeared to me to be half way up a mountain, fortunately being very quiet with not too many bookings I was able to get a room at sea level, so just bear in mind if you have mobility problems to book a lower (although more expensive) chalet. Also, I suffer with vertigo, getting on and off the ferry, which is basically an old fishing vessel converted to take people was a nightmare, there was an 18 inch wide plank between ship and the pier, the plank was basically going down by about 45 degrees, it took 3 people to get me on there as there are no hand rails, health and safety do not exist - it was the same on the return from the island back to the mainland. so be wary if you have balance/vertigo issues. The staff were superb and on the whole we had a lovely few days chilling out eating good food and having fun.

Below average beach resort
A large group of us stayed at the C Samet for a week and overall I was quite disappointed. We stayed in a sea view cottage up in the bush and the room itself was below par. There was no safe, no deadbolt on the door, there were black marks all over the walls and ceiling, the wood between the beds sunk when we stood on it, the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable and on the first day we had no hot water or bath mats (however the hot water issue was fixed within 24 hours). We were also awoken almost every morning at around 8:00am by construction. However I do note that some of the other rooms were considerably nicer, so I guess it's the luck of the draw. The resort itself is located on a beach inlet with 4 or 5 other resorts, which has its advantages and disadvantages. The beach at high tide is absolutely beautiful and at this time of year is very quiet. However as it is so isolated there is very little to do besides lying on the beach, staying in the room or eating. I understand this is some peoples idea of a holiday so if that's the case this is perfect (just consider the time of year. i.e. monsoon season). The restaurants, massages and convenience stores are more expensive here than at the pier / the main side of the island. To get to the pier it is a 10 minute tuk tuk (50 baht) or a 50 minute walk. The resort pool was under construction' the entire week, which was disappointing and the buffet breakfast was average. However, I do commend the staff for their response and treatment of a jellyfish sting. It was handled promptly and professionally.

Disappointed by the new C Samet
New owner increased the price of 30% up since last year. Rooms are slightly better, but a massive "tour" group of noisy Chinese arrive everyday to the resort. Everyday is a new group as they stay only for one night. They are like 30/40 and they don't respect neither the nature or the people. Cigarettes and bottles left on the beach, yelling at 6am in front of the bungalows, spitting on the beach next to you. The breakfast room was crowded at 7.30 and so noisy and the night was the same. Peace and relax are gone. We used to know Vongduern like a calm, family and relaxing place but unfortunately the new C Samet became noisy, rude and totally changed his customers.
