Tang and Khom know exactly how to look after you and how to offer a unique experience of 'the real Thailand'. From freshly roasted coffee on site, to letting me borrow their kayak for the day, nothing is an issue or too much for them. Khom is happy to sit and explain the roaring and filtering of the coffee, as well as give me information on the local bird species. Nothing was an issue. My bike had broken down, Tang was straight onto helping me find the local dealer. The rooms them selves are exactly what you need, everything is there and the air con is powerful! I travel north again in 4 weeks and will be sure to stay here! Couldn't think of anywhere better! See you soon! 😘 PS - hope you enjoyed your holiday and your dram or whisky?

Lovely garden and super friendly hosts
On our way from Bangkok to Khao Sok we stayed for one night at Villa Varich. We chose this resort for the superb reviews on booking.com, and we were not disappointed. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, providing us with a hand drawn map of the area immediately after arrival. The bungalow was very clean and had a nice view on to the river. Every bungalow even has it's own car port next to it, which is very practical as chances are you will arrive there with your own transportation. The breakfast was very varied, including local Thai foods, such as sticky rice with banana steamed in banana leaves and taro buns, but also toast and jam. The coffee was real freshly brewed, not instant, and we even got something very rare and special: coffee blossom tea. Would definitively stay at this place again and recommend it to anyone who staying a night or more in Chumphon and who has means of transportation.

Fantastic stay with surreal environment
One of the best stays we had during our road trip in various locations in Thailand. The Villa is around 15mins away from the main road in Chumphon. Few minutes to a Germany Bakery and a delicious Thai eatery near Villa Varich. We are lucky to catch a glimpse of owners' kitties near Villa's reception area. Internet access is available. The owners are very exceptional friendly and helpful. Their café/breakfast area offers good coffee and tea, which we end up buying a few bags of tea leaves before departing. We had a wonderful experience there and definitely will return again.

Nice and cozy! highly recommended!
I have stayed there only one night but the place is so nice, warm and cozy. Especially, the staff were so helpful with warm welcome, kind, and generous. They are so informative for where to visits, what to eat, and what to do. The place is so lovely and good for people who really want to relax and escape from maze/cities. You will be waken up in the lovely morning by the nature surrounded, to enjoy the coffees' stories and also get to learn how to make a fancy cup of coffee by yourself, and can enjoy kayaking along the river just right back of the resort. I sure you will get a full of relaxing from staying this resort.

Very Remote
We spent one night at this little resort on our way to the Islands. We were warmly welcomed by the owner. Our room had parking outside and an en suite shower room. All very clean and comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and the area is very quiet and rural. One does have to go out for dinner as the resort does not serve meals other than breakfast. There are a couple of restaurants close by and going back down to the beach is another option, if you have transport. We found the Thia breakfast of steam buns, chinese doughnuts a bit strange for our Western tastes. We would prefer some more fruit and yoghurt, boiled eggs and toast a better option. We love coffee and enjoyed the theatrics but honestly a good filter machine would work just as well!
