Crowne Plaza DALLAS DOWNTOWN by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We arrived to find that our pre-booked and prepaid room had been given away. Once we were finally given a room, the A/C unit was so loud it sounded like a helicopter was in the room, and the bathtub wouldn’t drain. The service has been chaotic—every staff member gives different information. We were told five different things about parking, and we’ve had constant issues with the gate and garage access due to the conflicting instructions. We were also told the rooftop pool was open and available, but when we tried to use it, another front desk employee told us it’s actually closed until June. It’s incredibly frustrating that so many of the amenities that make this place appealing are either unavailable or misrepresented. To make matters worse, there was a man openly selling drugs right outside the entrance. It made us feel unsafe and incredibly uncomfortable. Do yourself a favor—don’t stay here. It’s not worth the money, the stress, or the disappointment.

Nobody answers the phone at this hotel. I tried calling multiple times yesterday to confirm my stay for the night. Just kept going to voice mail. They did not have my reservation, booked through a 3rd party, when I got to the hotel so I had to book their “last” room. Started at $200 before fees. Somehow the front desk person could arbitrarily drop the cost. He gave me $10 off for lending my iPhone charger to a kid. The 3rd party is trying to reach out to the hotel to rectify this situation and they CANT GET ANYBODY ON THE PHONE AT THE HOTEL.

Upon our arrival the front desk clerk was not professional at all. He gave zero information regarding location of any single amenities. I had to go back to the desk to enquirer about breakfast times. We traveled from overseas and accidentally left my wife’s medication in the refrigerator. The medication is for insulin resistance. We called back the evening we checked out and it has been a nightmare getting anyone to answer phones as well as get up to the room to find the medication. We were told by the manager that all items found in rooms go to the lost and found. Clearly this is not the case and the staff steals items like this. The medication is Ozempic. Although many people abuse its use for weight loss, my wife needs this medication to help her generate insulin. Because we have traveled from overseas, we have yet been able to get any pharmacy to honor the prescription she had from our doctor in South Africa. This has been an absolute nightmare that has been amplified by a clearly inadequate staff at this hotel. Do not stay here. If you really ha e an issue, they will not be capable of handling it and you will never get a call back for any feedback. We pressed them For 3 days with no results whatsoever. Absolute shame.

Room was decent, ac was not functioning properly. Room would get muggy and very hot throughout the night. Would not stay again especially after an 8hr drive. Was not a restful night.

The baloney door wouldn’t lock and there was a bullet hole through the baloney sliding door glass. The gym did not have equipment cleaner for between use and several items were missing from the cable equipment. The woman in the bar on Saturday and Terri on the front dress Saturday were the only friendly staff we encounter. The seating bench in the restaurant was worn with holes. Very disappointed in the quality of our room and the staff in general

The parking was 2 blocks away, the room temperature was hot even if we turned it down and the bathtub was clogged it fill up while showering

Front desk people were so nice at check in and later when needing extra blankets.

Only had two work elevators during entire stay. With as many events happening during this time the wait for elevators was 20-30 mins long. Staff was friendly and helpful but property could use to updating.

Very rude front desk check in room wasn’t ready till after 3pm.

Homeless people urinating feet from the hotel. Got off Dart close to the hotel but lots of sketchy people around. No blow dryer in room, requested 4 times. Pass.

It’s a shame how less this Crowne Plaza is like any others. They actually give the hotel chain a bad name. That filthy place with horrible service should be closed down immediately! I travel a lot and if I ever come back to Dallas, I would NEVER stay here. In fact, I plan to let the host of the conference I was in that they should remove this hotel as one of their host hotels! Just horrible

Great place to stay!

Great location, very close to public transportation (all or most train lines) and buses. West end station located (Elm and Lamar and couple blocks in each direction from there scary, lots of homeless people-can be concerning to walk in that area-heavy police presence. I didn't have an issue but something to note. Otherwise hotel good/average, I'd have no problem staying there again mainly because of the great location in the downtown area

Right in the centre of Downtown Dallas. Easy walk to all the spots. Such a tall building was an added bonus because after a days outing, or trip for dinner you didnt have to look for a map, the building is so tall its like a beacon home.

The room was not cleaned for the first 3 days. The surroundings of the hotel, at night, has people that could feel unsafe, although there is a lot of police cars around.

Room was ok, but smelled upon arrival. Balcony window was loose and ratlled badly in high winds. Toilet was broken constantly. 3 stars mainly for the location and price, close to everyrhing i had to do and good entertainment.

All ok except transient around the hotel unsafe

Checked into hotel at 9:30 the room was 85 degrees. Gave it some time and the room was still not getting cool. Went down to the front desk where the lady told me she would send someone up to check on it. Waited 30 mins nobody came, called the front desk and was told oh we don’t have anyone here at this time to do anything. We will have someone up first thing in the morning. The room was 85 degrees entire night. Refused to move us because they were completely full. We checked out at 10:30 and nobody ever made it to our room to fix anything.
