Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Southport

Every staff member was over the top friendly and helpful. Especially the desk clerk and the lady restocking the breakfast items. The breakfast choices were excellent and delicious. Our granddaughters loved the pool and running the elevator. Lol

The room smelled as if the ac unit wasn’t clean and it was pretty noisy. The room was smaller than other Fairfield Inn’s. Couldn’t sleep comfortable.

It’s super annoying to show up to your hotel room with four people to have two towels / one washcloth waiting for you. Also for breakfast, several things ran out at 9 o’clock when breakfast is until 9:30pm. Then, get an attitude that “We will have to wait till tomorrow” for waffles and coffee. Front Desk - Super - Cleaning Staff - Awesome - # of towels and breakfast lady’s attitude - not so much!

This hotel was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly, super helpful, super clean and very convenient to everything we needed.

Very clean and well maintained property. Contemporary amenities and good bed linens. Quiet. The best breakfast we had in 2-3 stars hotels for 10+ years.

The hotel was clean quiet and very organized everyone was extremely helpful and polite. Especially the manager on duty Ms. Angelica she was extremely helpful and gave us a wonderful recognition for dinner.

Room was nice and clean. The only thing I didn't like was the noise from the road construction.

Excellent staff. Seriously, everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful. We were greeted by every staffer we saw and we were able to get an early check-in. We loved that the hotel about halfway between Southport's waterfront and the beaches of Oak Island. Our room was very clean and the bathroom is beautifully updated. Breakfast in the hotel was wonderful. It was surprisingly diverse and delicious for a free breakfast. And we enjoyed an incredible Italian dinner at a restaurant right across the parking lot! We will definitely stay here again!

Front Desk Girl at check in was not nice at all, terrible customer service, not helpful or friendly to our elderly parents who are Marriott hotel platinum members. Other than that everything else was fine .

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was in great shape and comfortable. There were a variety of options for breakfast. The gym had enough for a reasonable workout. Would definitely stay here again.

It was better than average for the price, mainly because breakfast was better, but the pool was broken, there was no freezer in the fridge, and I was subjected to the Fox News propaganda and lies at breakfast for 2 days. Nobody was even watching it. Why can’t you just put something nice on?

Stayed here several years ago & enjoyed it so we decided to stay here again. Top notch in every way. The staff are very pleasant & helpful.

While this property is not ocean front, it is conveniently located. There is highway construction nearby, but it was not a problem.

The property was clean.

Noisy. The bathroom had a drip in the pipes in the wall. We were moved to another room and it had bugs everywhere. After all this there's a 7 am fire drill the entire hotel is outside in pajamas waiting to get back in
