Holiday Inn Express & Suites SPARTANBURG-NORTH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of the room and the breakfast was extremely good!

Pro: Convenient; Updated: Bed & pillows very comfortable Con: When checking in was told I could have saved a lot of money had I used the hotel site instead of Expedia. At that point it was too late to change anything, so I feel ripped off. If it was too late to make the change, they should not have said anything. Or I should have been given the lower rate. Room functionality. Not really a suite. Extra floor space with a huge shaded light over it. Miniscule sink and non-working coffee maker. One small shelf. Too much wasted space, especially if staying more than a night or two.

The only complaint, was that my room wasn't ready when I arrived. I had to wait an hour before the room was ready. But other than that issue things were good. I must add; I was given a late checkout for my inconvenience.

After checking in we opted to stay at a different hotel even though we had already paid for this one. We made this choice due to the feeling we got with the area the hotel was in and the general overall feel of the place. We stayed at the Marriott of Spartanburg instead and really liked it.
