Homewood Suites by Hilton St. Augustine San Sebastian

I would not stay here again. They require you to pay an “add-on” fee for valet parking just to park in the lot right in front of the hotel. Sure, I could’ve had someone park our SUV, but it’s literally no more than a few steps from a parking spot to the door. Needless to say, I paid $25/night plus tax for valet parking that I didn’t even use. We also had a suite with two queens and a pull-out, and our reservation was booked for 2 adults/2 children, but our room was stocked with three towels. Not a big deal to call and ask for more towels, but it was just one more thing to worry about. I was told at check-in that they would clean the room every other day, which never happened. The day we left, our trash was overflowing. We used the pool two out of the three days we were there, and the pool towels were completely gone each time. The second time we were at the pool, another guest called the front desk to ask for the towels to be restocked, and she was asked to come to the desk to pick up towels for the entire area. It was not the worst hotel experience by any means, but there were several small, frustrating things that would not make me want to stay here again.

Do be aware there is a required $25 per day charge for the valet parking if any vehicles. But since parking is so limited in St.Augustine, it’s quite worth it.

No free parking. Even so, expect that there is no space for your car. Breakfast was good. Room was also good.

Liked the property was near the river and convenient to the old city.

Beds were okay, pillows were terrible, which made it very hard to sleep. The hide a bed was extra bad. Mattress was old, falling apart underneath and was so thin you were sleeping on the bars underneath. Couldn’t sleep, had to sleep on the floor.

My fault for not reading the fine print but I totally missed the $25/day mandatory parking fee. I never would have thought that this hotel (being nice, but not fancy) would charge for parking. It isn’t all that close to the tourist area but I guess there have been issues previously. Otherwise the hotel and our stay were excellent. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here from Friday-Tuesday and housekeeping never provided service. We requested a total of 5 times to 3 different front desk employees with no results. Our trash cans in the room were full and we had to request fresh towels and toilet paper at the front desk. By far the worst stay at a hotel. We did have our parking fee waved for our troubles. Just a terrible customer service experience. Wouldn't recommend.

The hotel was very very nice. I would definitely recommend and we will stay here again. Get a suite, it is well worth it the have the extra space and separated rooms. The entire building and furnishings are updated and very nice. The breakfast was great. I would give more stars if allowed. There is a parking fee.

Staff was amazing and the room was fantastic!

The staff had no idea where anything was, this hotel is very secluded from any restaurants, but they didn’t even know where the closest one was. Which anyone can see on google and it’s not good either. They say it’s walking distance to St. George street but it’s not safe with a kid at all. Homeless people and lots of traffic. Basically the hotel is ok and clean, staff stinks and locations sketchy. Stay elsewhere

We had a decent stay. The parking was expensive, $25 per vehicle to valet park them, and we ran out of toilet paper and clean towels. The location was pretty good and there was enough space in the room. Breakfast was okay, but the hot food was room temperature. The staff were very friendly.

Beautiful hotel. Loved the room. Very nice pool.

We stayed here while attending a nearby wedding. Pros: comfortable bed, spacious rooms. Pool is average but surrounding patio is nice with plenty of seating. Cons: limited cleaning service to room unless you specifically ask for daily service, older building, over-charging for parking, breakfast: they use powdered eggs which I don’t like. No waffle station for kids. I just got oatmeal which was fine.
