Gorgeous landscaping amid twisting, spanish moss dripping live osks, the Effie was outstandibgly welcoming. The staff was remarkably friendly and aimed to please in every situation from arrival each time we left the sight to our final departure, we felt like family. The Baytown Wharf had much to offer from live music to a plethora of restaurant chouces and shopping just a short walk from Effie Hotel. The shuttle service to and from the beach was fantastic as no long waits were necessary. Golf and bike riding were pluses enjoyed by our teens as well as the rooftop pool. Though we didn't dine at the Effie, the restaurant was very inviting with live flowers on the tables, entryway of the hotel, and in the lobby. We WILL return.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are always polite and easy to approach. The hotel itself smells awesome and looks fab! We definitely recommend to everyone that inquires from us on where to stay when in the area. Thank you!

Everything was excellent! The staff, the help we received if we had a question, drinks, dining options, comfy beds. The only small issue is that the WiFi was not working well enough for everyone to use.

It was ok! Nice hotel overall but wouldn’t really say it was worth the price. Spa on the other hand was lovely! Will definitely be returning for the spa.

Check in and rooms were nice. Restaurant and coffee spot were both eh. Food was cold twice. Bartender was doubling as host and server, so he forgot about our drinks. Overall okay, just expected much better from a nice hotel.

Horrible check in . Waited an hr . Was told “ theres 1 house keeper for the whole floor /?? hotel and we are fully booked “ waited in the lobby . Literally had to walk around to find some water to drink . Arrived super tired after a long drive .
More like a 1-2 star welcome experience.
Less than average .
Would rate it overall 5/10 .
Pple who came in after us were checked in , i dont know if it was due to the balcony room .
Its not like i booked this place last minute maybe 1-2 weeks before .
The lady was apologetic did give me a keycard 30 mins into the wait then the other check in lady seemed to have said something and then she took it back and gave us a lower floor cos it was quicker .
Please ensure rooms are ready if you have guests arriving would be my suggestion. beach is a drive away but theres a shuttle .
We just drove , super crowded beaches ,like thousands cos it was spring break .
1 restaurant.
Its one of those half baked so called 5 star Marriott experiences which is an average 5/10 if youre used to international 5 star hotels .

Our stay the the Effie was nothing short of amazing. The valet are courteous and efficient, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and quite comfortable. We will definitely be returning!

I liked everything! There were absolutely no complaints. Well it would be nice if the downstairs bar had TV’s so you could watch sports. Lol but not a deal breaker because there were plenty of spots close by that did.
