Staff was all incredible. Everyone is so genuinely kind and patient, and they really helped make the experience nice. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Portland. If you enjoy walking, you have access to a lot of shopping, food, and venues. Everything else is also a short distance with their public transportation.

It's a very clean hotel with a friendly staff. My only complaint would be the obnoxious cologne fragrance in the lobby. Whatever sensory experience that was intended for didn't work for me. It just smelled like walking into a fragrance counter every time I entered the front door and I started to really dislike it after the first day. So, if you're sensitive to smell, maybe look elsewhere. Other than that, it's a Hyatt so it's fine.

In the hotel lobby they inject a scent that we found offensive (perfumy) that others may not like as well.
Limited place to park rental car so they point you to an on-site valet service which charges $55 per day so please factor that into your budget.

ABSOLUTELY loved it!!
The hotel overall is beautiful and re modeled. The rooms were spacious and super clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff here are all super welcoming and helpful.
The location of this hotel is perfect for downtown Portland. There are a lot of restaurants and stores at walking distance.(and metros/buses)
There is a few homeless people but the hotel does a great job at keeping it safe and welcoming.

Two things:
1. When I booked the room, it says breakfast is available, after my one night stay, I was told to purchase breakfast! Extremely disappointed, I had two kids. I told them there will be a breakfast that the kids were excited about staying at Hyatt Place!
Hyatt Centric is not Hyatt place! Now I know that the two completely different!
2. I don’t understand why Expedia or the Hotel itself is refusing to refund my unused money for the third night? I will be seeking legal help if this delays any further

The staff was absolutely amazing! Complimentary drinks for our recent anniversary and engagement, customer service was next level and employees opening the door for us countless times. This was one of our best hotel experiences during the most amazing life change and then one of the worst with my grandma passing away. The bartender was so nice, informative and made an excellent espresso martini! Hyatt will definitely be getting our business in the near future!
