We enjoyed our stay at Le Meridien. The location is very convenient just a few blocks form the White House. The rooms very clean and well maintained. Some seem to have gone through a recent remodel and some have not (we had two rooms; one of each). The mattresses were on the soft side, but that's a personal preference. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant and bar downstairs were quite good and convenient.

This hotel is truly beautiful from the time you enter the property. The staff was very kind and welcoming from the front desk attendees to the bartender to the restaurant workers. The hotel room was very clean, and the cleaning person did a fantastic job cleaning the room. The hotel is right around the corner from the Wawa if you need a late-night bit and other nice restaurants are down the block on 14th that you could walk to. 10/10 experience.

I recently stayed at Le Méridien in Washington, D.C. to celebrate my birthday, and while my stay began with a hiccup, the exceptional service quickly turned things around and made the weekend memorable.
Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that my room hadn’t been cleaned at all. Naturally, this was disappointing, especially since it was a special occasion. However, I went down to the front desk where I was warmly greeted by Olivia and John. They both handled the situation with professionalism, empathy, and urgency. They immediately took ownership of the issue, apologized sincerely, and reassured me that it would be addressed promptly.
True to their word, they not only ensured my room was promptly cleaned but also went above and beyond by upgrading me to a suite. On top of that, they offered a complimentary credit to use at the hotel restaurant, which was a much-appreciated gesture. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference.
Throughout the rest of my stay, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is perfect—central, safe, and within walking distance to many of D.C.'s top attractions, shops, and restaurants. The walkability alone is a huge plus!
Upon checkout, Olivia made sure that the compensation was properly applied to my account and took the time to ask how my weekend went. That level of care and follow-through really stood out to me.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel has lots of dining options. It's a few minutes walk to a Metro.
We received a $60 voucher for food and drinks at check in. This hotel is one of my favorite to stay when visiting D.C.

A resonable option in the middle of DC. We had club level rooms and I was disappointed that the bed was soft on one side and we had to ask for a coffee maker to be brought into the room.
The club room is not great. Back in a dark corner of the ground floor with no outside windows. The food and drinks are very limited. I opted to work in the lobby instead on the final afternoon.

My family stayed at La Meridian for two nights during spring break in April 2025. We traveled with three elementary-aged kids and booked through Expedia. Our room (706) had a mixed experience.
Pros:
-Clean, safe hotel in a secure area,
-Room had three seating areas, useful for families.
-Clean bathroom with good counter space.
-Comfortable beds and ample storage.
-Convenient location, about a 10-minute walk to the metro.
Cons:
-Room felt cramped for a family.
-Frustrating TV movie charges, even for previews.
The sensored snack box on the desk was annoying —and took up space.
-The $30 daily voucher covered the destination fee but couldn't be used for room service delivery, and room service was unavailable.
-Our view was an unattractive HVAC courtyard.
-Oversized bathroom door made the space feel cramped.
Final thoughts:
While we appreciated the cleanliness and location, the inconveniences—especially the snack box charges and tight layout—made our stay less enjoyable. Given the price, we likely wouldn’t return, especially with other options nearby. If you’re an Elite Marriott member, hotel is probably great!
