The Oread is a wonderful hotel. Everything was clean and well kept, the staff were very friendly, and the location was incredible. Thank you for a great stay!

Check-In process was great. AC unit was falling apart, room had a strange odor as well. Was not overly impressed with the room.

Location is amazing. Nothing compares if you are visiting KU. Our room did not feel, clean, towels were frayed and messy. Shower curtain too short for walk in shower, it was a strange “fix”, some fine tuning could go a long way to make this place better.

The best spot in Lawrence hands down!

At the time I booked & traveled, I was unaware that the restaurant was completely closed for renovation. The front desk girl was not friendly at all…. The hotel is pretty but lacks staff

This place was weird. Like a Hampton Inn meets Medieval Times. Smelled heavily of laundry soap al night in the room and the space could use a maintenance man on staff.

I was honestly expecting a lot better from my stay. Great service at check-in. Loved my room when I first got here but then started noticing how the room needs legitimate repairs and how it is cheaply thrown together. The TV remote was at one point not sensitive enough, then became overly sensitive. The shower curtain kept clinging to my body while I was trying to shower, and I’m very petite. Service for breakfast was awful. I quickly ran out of water and didn’t see either server until finishing my meal. I tried to flag them down and was completely ignored. The restaurant was not busy at all. Never received a drink menu, never asked if I wanted anything other than water. Bed was okay, my back hurts this morning. I grew up in Lawrence and always thought that the Oread was the height of class in the city. It’s not. I’ll be sure to stay at the Marriott downtown or The Eldridge next time I’m visiting. What a waste of money. Not to mention!!! Very loud inebriated kids at 2am. It’s June.

Every staff member was awesome and treated us so well. It was clean and overall an amazing stay!

It was amazing. Such a cool property and so nice. My boys had an amazing view of the new football stadium.

My room wasn't ready when I arrived due to "being overbooked" the previous night. They gave me a coupon for 2 free drinks which I enjoyed at the Rock and Hawk. This is a sports bar and grill off the main lobby. The best part of my stay was enjoying breakfast there the morning I left. The Plain ol' Breakfast with fruit was delicious. My waiter was attentive and friendly. Located on Mount Oread, there are beautiful views of the KU campus from the restaurant, just not my room. The hotel exterior is cut limestone and the interior main areas are richly decorated. This is a stark contrast to the bare room where I stayed. I have never been in a hotel room before where there was no carpeting at all and no wall decorations. Any sounds echoed and made it hard to sleep. At least I got a cheap rate so now I know its not worth it to pay their normally very high prices to stay the night. This hotel shines for the restaurant and view. I'll keep it to that.

Walls are super thin. Managed to drown out other noisy guests with AC fan. Slept amazing! Enjoyed amenities in room and in lobby.
