Hong Thien 1 was excellent value for the very cheap price we paid. All the staff were very welcoming, especially Thuy who was on reception when we arrived, and gave us a drink of choice and fruit platter on arrival. We didn’t pre pay for breakfast, but ended up having it every morning, it was delicious and so much food. The only thing was we had to pay in cash as we were checking out, 70,000 per person per day, which is cheap, but make sure you have cash. The pool was clean and refreshing. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel double booked our 2 family rooms for two nights. We had originally booked to stay for 3 nights. They could only give us one night there as they had no spare rooms for us to stay that weekend. I had to find another hotel to book last minute for the remainder. We stayed one night and the rooms were awful. Glad that they had double booked us. There were cockroaches in our room, Aircon wasn't working well so it was very hot all night. I would stay away from this place especially if you have kids with you. Not as it looks in photos.

Great location and terrific staff who organised a driver for a tour to the tombs and back to the airport. Great pool and the location is close to all food and bars, but quiet as it's in a little lane off the main street.

Hotel was a disappointment. Service was terrible, rooms were old and musty. Bed was rock and pillow was so thin I might as well not had it. Location was good, right in the heart of fabulous nightlife but that’s about the best thing I can say about our stay.

Great location, but not the best value for your money when compared to another place we stayed in Hue. Our room was “tired”, needed a new shower head that wouldn’t spray all over the place (hubby actually fixed it), and the bed was downright uncomfortable. Breakfast was fine, but service was a bit terse. Pool was okay, but only a few places to sit. In all, I would suggest you look elsewhere. There are tons of other options in Hue.

It’s a great hotel, because of the staff. It’s old, but has been updated in some ways. The room was clean and my enclosed shower was so nice to not have a wet floor!The breakfast was awesome, pick as much as you want and dont miss the chocolate banana pancakes. They arranged a good city tour...fun, informative, well worth the money... swimming pool is dated and needs a bit of work, but it is a swimming pool and really needed it after a hot day touring...the staff went beyond to help me...I left my pillow in the lobby and didnt realize until I was in Phang Nha...I emailed them, and they sent to through on the next bus...so kind!

We had a two night stay in Hue. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We found the room to be average. A small space, almost clean sheets and a dodgy door. The shower had not been cleaned as it still had soap scum on the walls.
On a positive, breakfast was tasty with a couple of options.
It was an okay experience but wouldn't stay again.

Staff were lovely, breakfast was great - even one day when my partner didn't come down for breakfast they made him a spread to take back to the room. Check in was also great they brought tea and fruit. Got a full nights sleep which after traveling for 2 months I found doesn't happen often. There were two outstanding things about this hotel. One was the breakfasts. You can order two a la carte entrees and two beverages. The quality of the food was excellent. All items were freshly made. The second thing was the hospitality. You are greeted with a place of fresh fruit and tea. Sue was the hostess. She provided a wealth of information and went out of her way to ensure that I had everything I needed. Although the accommodation is mediocre, her hospitality, and the great breakfasts, made this a memorable stay.
