How do I book a room with this option?
Select a room with payment date options
Find accommodations that have the ‘No need to pay now’ label, then look for rooms with payment date options. You can also use the ‘Pay near stay date’ filter.
Choose “Pay nothing until a certain date”
After selecting your room, continue to fill in your details and select Pay nothing until a certain date when choosing your payment date.
Select your Payment Method
Use credit card to secure your booking. Don’t worry, it will only be charged on the payment date.
Confirm Booking
Voila! Your booking is now secured and you will receive your voucher. Enjoy your stay!
About pay near stay date
What is pay near stay date?
Pay near stay date is a feature that provides you with more flexibility for your payments. When you book a room with this option, you can choose to "Pay nothing until a certain date" instead of pay immediately. You only need a credit card to secure your booking.
How will I know which rooms allow me to pay near stay date?
Since pay near stay date option is only available for selected rooms, you can identify them on rooms with “Pay nothing until a certain date or "Pay now” option, or look for ‘Pay near stay date’ filter when you’re searching for rooms.
What are the benefits of choosing to pay near stay date?
Choosing to pay near stay date means you can "Pay nothing until a certain date", which means the payment will only be charged a period of time after the booking has been secured. This allows you to delay your payment and gives you more flexibility in your travel plans. If necessary, you can cancel your booking without needing to request a refund as well.
Pay near stay date seems pretty similar to Pay at Hotel, what is the difference?
Pay near stay date gives you the option to "Pay nothing until a certain date" or "Pay now". If you choose the latter, your payment will be automatically processed on a certain date before your stay date. Free Cancellation policy also applies for rooms with pay near stay date option. Meanwhile, for Pay at Hotel rooms, the payment will only be made at the accommodation when you are about to check in, and the Free Cancellation policy may not always apply.
Am I guaranteed to get my accommodation?
Yes, your accommodation is secured and you will receive the voucher after booking. However, please note that if your payment fails to be charged on the payment date, your booking will be canceled and the voucher will become invalid.
Can I use promo coupons with my booking?
Unfortunately, no. Promo coupons are currently unable to be used if you choose "Pay Nothing until a certain date".
Aside from promo coupons, are there other features that cannot be used?
Yes, you’re also unable to purchase add-ons, redeem Points or pay for your booking in installments. However, you will still be granted Points for your booking.
What are the payment methods I can use?
You can use a credit card to secure your booking. Don’t worry, it will only be charged on the payment date.
If you choose to use a credit card, rest assured that it will be encrypted and is totally safe.
Can I pay earlier or later than the stated date?
No, the payment will be automatically charged on the stated date, which can’t be changed. So, make sure you pay attention to the payment date, as it could differ for each booking!
Will I get a reminder or notification before the payment is made?
Of course, we will send you an email and push notification 2 days before the payment date.
When will I get my payment receipt?
You will receive your receipt after the payment has been completed.
If I use a credit card, can I still pay the credit card bill in installments?
Your credit card bill payment is not under Traveloka’s jurisdiction, so we suggest that you check with your credit card provider to confirm this.
I just realized that my credit card limit is insufficient after booking, can I change cards or switch to another payment method?
You cannot switch cards or change the payment method after the booking has been made. However, the payment can still be processed as long as your limit is sufficient on the payment date itself.
What happens if my credit card fails to be charged?
If the payment fails, your booking will be automatically canceled.
Will there be any cancellation fees if my booking gets canceled due to failed payment?
No, there will be no cancellation fees.
What can I do if my booking is canceled because of a failed payment?
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to reinstate a canceled booking. You can try making a new booking instead.
Cancellation & reschedule policy
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, rooms with pay near stay date option always have Free Cancellation policy to ensure that you have the flexibility to cancel your booking, if necessary. However, you might be subject to cancellation fees after the free cancellation period expires. Please check your booking details for more information.
How do I cancel my booking?
The process is the same as regular bookings. Go to Bookings on the Traveloka App, tap the three dots on the upper right corner of your booking, then select Cancel Booking.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes, you will be able to reschedule your booking after the payment has been completed, but you might be subject to cancellation fees. Please refer to your booking details to check the specifics of the reschedule policy.
Can I reschedule before the payment has been charged?
Unfortunately, no, you are not able to reschedule your booking before the payment has been completed. Instead, you can cancel the booking for free while the Free Cancellation period is active and make a new booking.
Pay Near Stay Date Terms and Conditions
These Pay Near Stay Date Terms and Conditions ("T&C") are an integral part of our Terms and Conditions available on the Site.
By using our Pay Near Stay Date on the Site to proceed with a hotel or accommodation booking, you hereby acknowledge and accept the T&C.
1. Pay Near Stay Date
We make available Pay Near Stay Date feature on the Site which you may select any of the following preferred payment options at the time you make a hotel or accommodation booking on the Site.
1.1. “Pay Now” is a payment method for you to complete the payment right after booking within the specified time limit. If you fail to pay for your booking by any payment methods (including but not limited to credit card, debit card, bank transfer or other alternative payment methods) available on the Site within the specified time limit, your booking will be automatically canceled.
Any reschedule, change or cancellation of your booking or booking details shall be made in accordance with the conditions specified in the booking voucher, by the accommodation or hotel suppliers, and/or our Terms and Conditions published on the Site.
1.2 “Pay Nothing until a Certain Date” is a payment method which you can book a hotel or accommodation and make a payment on or before the due date specified by us which date will be after your booking is made.
(1) If you select Pay Nothing until a Certain Date as your preferred payment method, we will inform you of the due date for your booking on the Site and/or on the booking voucher ("Payment Date").
(2) We only accept credit cards for your payment of Pay Nothing until a Certain Date. Other payment methods including bank transfer, debit card and other alternative payments are not available for Pay Nothing until a Certain Date.
(3) During the booking process, we will require you to complete your credit card information and you acknowledge and agree that we may (or procure our payment service provider to) verify your credit card before proceeding with your booking. Your credit card will be automatically charged on the Payment Date. If we are not able to charge you on the Payment Date due to your insufficient credit card limit, error of credit card network, or other reasons, we will automatically cancel your booking and your booking voucher will be invalid.
(4) You acknowledge that the following payment options or features cannot be used or are not available if you select Pay Nothing until a Certain Date:
- (1) redemption of Traveloka Points or pay with points;
- (2) Traveloka coupons, accommodation coupons and other discount coupons and codes available on the Site;
- (3) add-on insurance; and
- (4) credit card payments with installments.
(5) If you select Pay Nothing until a Certain Date, before the Payment Date,
- (1) you cannot reschedule your booking order or amend the booking details (including but not limited to, changing your room type or stay period);
- (2) you can cancel your booking, free of charge.
(6) If you wish to reschedule or cancel your booking after the Payment Date, you may be subject to cancellation fee, reschedule fee or any other fees charged by the hotel or accommodation suppliers or us at the rate specified in the relevant terms and conditions or booking voucher.
(7) If you reschedule or cancel your booking in accordance with Section 1(5) or 1 (6), your original booking voucher will be invalid, and you can no longer use such voucher.
2. Misuse of Pay Near Stay Date
2.1. You are prohibited from, in any way, taking advantage, which at our sole discretion, is done fraudulently, unreasonably and/or in any way that we reasonably consider as an abuse of the Pay Near Stay Date feature.
2.2. In the event that we believe that You have breached this Section 2, we reserve the right to: (1) conduct an investigation of the alleged abuse; (2) request you to make compensation payments for all losses suffered by Traveloka, or other related parties in connection with such fraudulent acts and/or (3) take other actions that we deem necessary.
3. Miscellaneous
3.1. You hereby agree to release Traveloka from all claims or compensation caused by your negligence or your delay in canceling the reservation before the Payment Date.
3.2. If one or more of any provisions in T&C are invalid, contrary to law or unenforceable by regulation, such provisions shall not affect, cancel or eliminate the remaining provisions of the T&C.
3.3. We may amend or update the T&C at any time where it is necessary to comply with any applicable laws or to reflect the change in our operational practices. We will use reasonable endeavors to provide you with a notice or send you a notification of the updated T&C on the Site. If you continue to use the Pay Near Stay Date feature after the changes, you are deemed to agree and accept to all changes and are bound by the updated version.
3.4. Pay Near Stay Date (both Pay Now and Pay Nothing until a Certain Date) is only available on our website and application version 3.80 and above.
