If it's your first time, it's better to buy a ticket that goes straight up, for a recommended experience.

Fun The upanat sandals are really useful. If possible, add a miniature Borobudur keychain souvenir as well... It would be perfect as a reminder of the beautiful memories... Thanks all

Redeeming tickets at the venue is very easy, information boards are available everywhere, the staff are very helpful, 120 thousand rupiah includes sandals, a bag, and a drink, sessions to climb to the summit alternate according to the selected time, if only at the platform, you only pay 50 thousand rupiah, general facilities such as bus shelters are available for going and returning, toilets are clean and everywhere. Overall, it's very good.

It's very commercial, wheelchairs are even rented out to make money, unlike in Prambanan, where wheelchairs are free and there's no rental fee. From the parking lot to the ticket box, you have to go around in circles and have to pass through the UMKM building, which is not friendly for the elderly.

Actually, initially we just stopped by and wanted to see Borobudur temple from outside the fence, but after walking around the fence, the temple was not visible, to satisfy our curiosity, we finally went in (even though it was already 3:30 PM and would close at 5:00 PM), it turned out to be an extraordinary clean and well-organized environment, and Borobudur temple was amazing, for photos from all angles everything was good, unfortunately because it was already afternoon we were only in the courtyard and were not allowed to go up to the temple. And what's special is, to buy entrance tickets with Traveloka, you don't need to queue, just click and go in. Someday, if you want to go on holiday to Borobudur temple again, take a ticket that goes up to the temple, not just in the courtyard, the photos will definitely be even cooler.

The process of exchanging tickets purchased through the Traveloka app is quite easy. The staff will direct you to the entrance, so simply scan the barcode sent to your email or app. There are plenty of shuttle buses available to get to the temple grounds, with a wait time that wasn't too long, and the queues were quite busy, considering we came on a long weekend. After disembarking the shuttle bus, we had to walk a short distance around the temple grounds, but we were allowed to enter through the exit located not far from the shuttle drop-off point. This is likely due to the presence of elderly people and children, so priority was given to us. Just ask the staff on duty at the checkpoint. The temple grounds are clean and free of litter, and there are several seating areas nearby. There are restrooms located on the way to the shuttle bus pick-up shelter, which takes about a 10-15 minute walk back to the starting point after exiting the temple grounds. Overall, visiting here on a long weekend is still comfortable. Don't forget to pack drinking water in a tumbler and wear a hat or umbrella to protect yourself from the sun, as the weather can be quite hot.

The service was excellent, with a friendly tour guide who explained the history of each carving/sculpture, reminding us of our nation's cultural history.

Maybe this is my 6th time to Borobudur (I've been up there twice this year, on March 25th and August 25th)... 120k gets you a bag, sandals, and a small bottle of Aqua (buy online so you don't run out of tickets to go up)... It's getting cleaner and better organized from the moment you get in and when you get out you're taken around (so people can shop)... For those who take the Sinar Jaya bus from point zero (the fare is only 20k), when you get off by motorbike taxi/pedicab pay 10k (negotiable)... (20 Aug 25th)
