The best time to visit here is in the morning or afternoon, when it's still quiet and cool thanks to the many large trees. You can take as many photos as you like, and the area is truly expansive. It's not as small as it is from the front, and you can also explore the back and forth.

I arrived here in the morning about 9 AM and I was the only one there for a while. it was not as crowded as the other big temples under the same management like Prambanan or borobudur. it's a bit of a shame that even though we already pay 20k (I redeemed my Traveloka points) per person yet we still see some hustlers inside that makes us a bit annoyed.awe thought that with the price range at least we can get some peace while exploring this place. there is a lot of people taking pictures and videos yet they tend to take too many pictures that it's just annoying as they covered the entrance with it. there is not much to see and read as there so little information available in the parts of the temple, yes we know that we can hire a guide but my friends and I are the type that prefer to read infographic than to be with a stranger. also why we still pay for parking when we already bought the ticket? it seems unnecessary and annoying as we hope that the price we pay already cover up for all of the things like guide or valet parking. also why is it so expensive for foreigners like more than double the price? it seems so predatory and I know it's for taxes and stuff but c'mon it's just a ridiculous price to pay, I'm glad that I got points to redeem so that we only pay half the price for those who are Indonesian ID holders and my friends from The Philippines pay nothing as I literally spending my hard earned Traveloka points on them because I just can't stand them being scammed by the government in broad daylight like this.

Ratu Boko Temple is so cool! It's located on a hill, so you can see the expansive views of the surrounding area. The architecture is unique, with remnants of a palace and small temples, and even a cave. The atmosphere here is quite quiet and peaceful, perfect for relieving stress. For those of you who want to reminisce about the past, you can do that too, because there are traditional games like stilts, congklak, and others available. You can pay as you wish. It's guaranteed to make you want to stay here for a long time.

The experience in itself was amazing although it was pouring when I visited the site. Just go in with the expectation of revisiting a piece of history and culture. There were also cute cafes at the entrance of the site and the view from Ratu Boko was fantastic.

I recommend going here, but it's a bit tiring climbing the stairs.

Friendly receptionist. Easy to exchange tickets online. Access from Jogja: You can take Trans Jogja and get off at Prambanan terminal and then take the cheap Maxim. A round trip solo trip is very affordable.

The location is on a plateau. I visited yesterday at 3:30 PM and it was still quiet, as this place is famous for its sunsets. Ticket counters close at 5 PM, and temple access closes at 6:30 PM. From the entrance, you can already enjoy a beautiful view of the sky, including the vast expanse of Ratu Boko Temple. You're free to wander around and take photos.

Sunset at Ratu Boko is an unforgettable experience. Suggestion to arrive at Ratu Boko at 4 pm so it is not too hot and can go around first, then you can see the sunset around 5.15 pm.

An interesting experience for historical tourism, tends to be less crowded than Prambanan but the experience is no less interesting and there are some cool photo spots.
