When we first went to Bali, they said we shouldn't miss GWK. Luckily, they had a discount promo when we bought our tickets through Traveloka. We went there yesterday by motorcycle, and the parking lot was easy to access for the shuttle bus. The staff was friendly. From the moment we entered, we were invited to watch the canting (traditional bamboo stick) making process, and then they gave us a little information about Balinese culture and the locals. There was also a QR code to find out what the show schedule was that day.
On our way home, we had a slightly unpleasant experience with the security guard. We were carrying a backpack containing a tripod and a mineral water bottle out of the souvenir shop at GWK. When we wanted to leave, we were stopped because they thought we hadn't paid. Even though we didn't buy anything there, we were just browsing. Was it because we were local tourists that the service was like that? Because the expression on his face was clearly different when foreigners left there. There was no apology from him when his suspicions turned out to be wrong.
