Bless this hotel's heart. Pros: check in was easy and staff was super friendly. Fun vibe in the lobby with plenty of grab and go options. Cons: it's an old, musty hotel and no amount of paint is going to fix damp carpets, a dank AC system, and rusty vents. Irritatingly, the website lists in-room dining as an amenity (so does the phone in the room) but they don't offer any such thing. For the price there are way better options downtown.

Tips: The higher the floor the better view. Parking is about the same per hour in the garage as it is on the street. Bring ear plugs, the walls are thin. Hotel is in a hilly area, be prepared when walking

The hotel was great, the upkeep is being done well for its age. The area was awesome, in walking distance to everything. I didn’t like the service I received from the on site breakfast restaurant. The cashier was not polite and she wasn’t paying attention to my order, which was incorrect causing me to wait for an additional 15mins, and she was rude as well. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8am and again at 10am, when check out time is 12noon. Me & my wife actually wanted to sleep in before having to travel back home. Also, didn’t like the fact that they had a steamer, and no options for an iron etc. Sorry, but everyone doesn’t use steamers these days. But overall I will stay at this location again.

Upon arrival, two staff were at the registration table, one with a customer, the other on his phone. I had to wait until that customer was done until I could be checked in. I had a few questions and received curt answers, like I was bothering him though there was no one else around me. I wish all hotels would get rid of carpet in the guest rooms. It's gross.

I chose this property because of it was a 10 minute walk to waterloo park where I had tickets to the Austin Blues Festival and it was great never having to drive

We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. Food and drinks were great at the Swim Club.

They did not clean our room the first day even though we were gone 7 hours. Then they brought us 2 towels when there are three of us. Then when I asked for coffee to make in the room they brought me decaf with no cups to brew with and no creamer. The vibe just felt they didn’t care and the cleaning staff was downright rude.

I went to ask for more coffee for our room. Housekeeping gave us 6 decaffeinated pouches I went to both ends of the halls of level 15 to look for ice when I finally found the room there was no ice machine! Went to lobby to try and find some coffee and was told I had to pay for it. The ac unit in our room 1530 was cracked open

The lobby was interesting. At check in there was no information given about anything on the property. The check in attendant was not friendly. The valet that we paid a large amount for did not unload our bags nor load them when we left. The room was hot and the AC barely cooled. I just expected to be treated better at a VIP experience.

We took a quick trip and stayed only one night. Check-in was a breeze and they had a little bucket of complimentary beer at the front desk. Room was as advertised. Roomy, clean, chic. The only complaint is the price of parking whether self park or valet, but it seems all downtown hotels wherever you go exploit the parking. Valet was about $10 more than self park and after taxes and fees was about $70. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that the stay was perfect.
