The location is great, the hotel was old but the rooms were renovated and very clean.

Stay away from the breakfast. Pretty sure I got food poisoning from it. The room itself was quite nice

Clean and comfy

The first and last time I've been to Welcominns was still during pre-Covid. The latest stay, therefore, was my second and a return after several years. I was surprised at the noticeable changes. Welcomeinn used to look old and outdated. They had obviously refurbished and changed fixtures and furnishing. Even the breakfast area which used to be located in a small and cramped corner of the lobby has been moved to the basement, providing enough space and room for all guests. All in all, Welcominns has turned from a place with an inn or hostel feel to a cozy modern hotel comparable to Holiday Inn or Best Western but with better room rates than the two aforementioned hotel chains. I may just have found my hotel of choice for me and my family's staycations in Ottawa.

I have stayed at this property multiple times and it is always excellent. Never had any problem with my room or the breakfast and the staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I was positively surprised. Very well kept hotel and fresh rooms. Great bed, modern TV with lots of channels, a fridge and great shower. Complimentary basic breakfast nice plus too. Great value for the money. If you don’t want/need to stay downtown, this is a great choice for a very good night sleep. Lone Star restaurant next door if you are hungry.
