Very dirty part of Sudbury, too many drug addicts hanging around

I had stay there it was all good. Manager was aweosme in this hotel. 10/10

The room had smelled like the previous guest was smoking in it and there was a bag over the smoke detector. Overall it was exactly what we needed for coming to town for the Sudbury Rocks Marathon. This area of Sudbury is typically overrun with drug use and homelessness so I would caution anyone who is anxious about that type of situation

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! There was an abundance of drug use in the parking lot. Homeless people going through bins of garbage at the entrance. Car alarms going off every few minutes. Didn’t really feel safe leaving my car there, but what choice did I have??? Very limited parking and when there were no spots left I asked where I was supposed to park I was told to park a block away in an underground parking lot where I had to walk through fentanyl zombies. When I told them it wasn’t acceptable the front desk told me she was going to call the police and have me removed from the building (what a blessing that would have been!!!). I’m there with my 80 year old father who has dementia and is undergoing cancer treatments. He can barely walk. Parking a block away wasn’t happening and it wasn’t safe to drop him off and leave him surrounded with all the criminal activity going on. Luckily another patron saw what was happening and moved his truck so I could park close. On top of all this I’m pretty sure the place hasn’t been cleaned in 10 years. When I asked for more face cloths and towels the housekeeping informed me there were none. She also said they have a total of 10 sets of sheets for the entire hotel. My god what kind of place is this???? Hearing that makes me wonder if the sheets were even changed from the last guest. Thankfully I only booked for a week and found a place a little cleaner for the remainder of his radiation treatments.

- Improve the parking lot - The breakfast wasn't great

Parking was almost non existent. They have about 20-30 spots available, ideally for smart car size vehicles. Bad smell upon entering the hotel, even worse upon entering our room. Smelled like someone had smoked in it just previous. AC wasn't turned on so room was musty and hot. Bed sheets had stains on them. Everything felt dirty and the smell in the room and bathroom was nauseating. The bathroom didn't even have any handsoap. Being downtown there were homeless people everywhere outside, didnt feel safe. Thats obviously not the hotels fault but worth being aware of

We booked this name-brand hotel with a reasonable expectation of basic service, cleanliness, and professionalism. They failed. We stayed three nights, and our room was not cleaned once. Not once over the entire stay. When we raised the issue, the staff were not helpful and did not properly resolve it. At a name-brand hotel, basic housekeeping should not be something guests have to chase or simply go without. The parking lot for visitors is next to a drug consumption site that is frequented by junkies and addicts. It is littered with overdose kits. Breakfast was also poorly managed. The pancake station was never working during our stay, even though the machine clearly indicated that it needed a refill. This was not some complicated repair issue. It looked like a simple service failure that staff either ignored or failed to manage. The room itself had a strange mystery door. This was not the normal adjoining-room door we are familiar with from many other hotel stays. It appeared to be something different, and we were concerned enough that we blocked it with a chair. The overall experience was unacceptable. No room cleaning for three nights, unsafe parking, poor staff response, neglected breakfast service, and a room feature that made us feel uneasy. This is exactly the kind of experience we book a known hotel brand to avoid. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Nice mid-range hotel. The location is downtown and a bit sketchy but I didn’t feel unsafe. The breakfast was better than average.

Parking was right across the street. Parking was free with a pass given by the desk. Staff very polite and knowledgeable. Room was clean. Bathroom had just been redone.

Very clean, comfortable room. Breakfast was great with lots of food selection and lots of room to sit by the window and look out onto the street. Location was right downtown which was within a few metres of our outdoor event. Staff was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to park longer until the end of our event.

Room smells like someone smokes. Furniture old and not clean. Towels are dirty. Very old carpet.

Even though the parking lot was full, the hotel offered alternate parking at no cost. The staff was very accomodating when we asked for a late checkout due to a family tragedy.

Not a bad hotel for a quick overnight stay. There was someone else’s shirt left hanging in the closet which questions what areas are being cleaned. The pillows are very tiny. But beside this, the room served its purpose.

The staff are very friendly. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of downtown Sudbury with vehicle parking across the street. The hotel is quite dated and is in need of some upgrades. I personally did not feel very safe and would not recommend walking around at night as there are a lot of homelessness in this area. The breakfast was decent however there is no bathroom in the lobby/breakfast area and i was allowed to use the staff bathroom. Beds were soft, decor dated but clean. the elevator had a funky smell. the fitness centre did not look appealing - only 2 machines that didnt look like they were properly maintained.

Staff are very helpful and patient

The elevator is very old and there is no use of stairs. The eggs in the complementary breakfast was similar to rubber. The curtains in the room do not cover the windows entirely and light shines through your room and may affect your sleep. Not a recommended hotel to stay at.
