Convenient location for walking and a visit to Powell’s. Love the old school history vibe of the hotel, and the staff is top notch.

Great room, beautiful hotel lobby!

This hotel was incredible and looked like a pretty hoppin wedding venue as we saw 3 beautiful brides within our 12hr stay!!! The valet parking was fantastic and our driver helped us with our luggage!!! I highly recommend this place😍

Very historic. In great restored shape. I saw a documentary on this hotel as it a an important Portland landmark. Very was co nice and responsive. Room was in perfect high end shape and very responsive and effective climate control The restaurant severed breakfast and dinner. Top notch food and friendly polite wait staff. Prices were so low, it was hard to believe.

The location was perfect. We could walk easily to two tasty pastry shops and many coffee locations for breakfast. A popular food cart hub, with seating and some shade, was a few blocks away. Muji and several other Japanese stores and some uniquely Portland shopping was, also, in walking distance. Plus, public transportation was a breeze, so we had fairly easy access to the Japanese and International Rose gardens and the Portland Zoo as well as the waterfront. I'd stay here, again. The staff was friendly and helpful and provided us with whatever we needed. We had free bottled water and coffee in the lounge. Others may not care about this, but we pack very light and often need to wash some clothes. However, there are no laundry facilities at the hotel or nearby. Just keep this in mind.

The lobby is beautiful with old school charm. Rooms were modern and bed is extremely comfortable

The picture in the hotel is too scary. It's dark inside the hotel too. I couldn't sleep well.

I love this hotel

I will not stay at this hotel again. I was unable to take a bath. I spoke to Mark at reception this morning and explained that the first night I could not get the water to flow into the bathtub. The second night you were gonna send someone up to help me do that and no one came this morning I got in the bathtub with the water flowing into the tub. I was relaxing amongst the bubbles when the shower came on in my face. One of the reasons I chose your hotel was, I knew you had bathtubs. I was very disappointed with the bathtub situation. I feel like I should have an adjustment on my bill because it was a very disturbing and inconvenient situation for me

The staff were great. Bobby , in the dining area was very informative and jovial. Wonderful stay.

It was such a beautiful hotel! Room was smaller than expected, but super clean and comfy!

This was our third time staying here and it is always a great stay.

Nice place

The the hotel staff was absolutely amazing! We had a problem with our booking and they were able to resolve the issue very accordingly and in a timely manner. When you stay here you feel like you were walking through an episode of the history channel because of all of the beautiful authenticity kept in this place! I will recommend and continue to stay at Benson for every return to Portland!!!

The hotel lobby was absolutely beautiful with marble and wood paneling. The hotel is over 100 years old and so the rooms were a little tight but had all of the amenities. The bathroom was small but very nice. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the price was reasonable for a hotel meal. My only complaint is that the beds were a little uncomfortable so I was glad that we were only staying the one night.
