We stayed at Novotel Vieille Ville, Nice for two weeks, and were completely satisfied with the hotel. All the staff, from Reception, Dining Room, and Bar were helpful, courteous and efficient. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. It had good sound insulation, so we were not disturbed by other guests or outside noise. The drinking water dispenser situated near the lift was very helpful, as it provided guests with clean chilled water 24 hours per day. The hotel is modern, well decorated, and has a welcoming atmosphere, whether you are arriving for the first time, or are returning from a day's outing. The Breakfast room offers a good selection of food, which was adequate for us, but guests with bigger appetites may disagree. My recommendation here is for there to be proper cups for coffee, rather than the glass tankards, which seemed a little odd to have in a dining room. Evening meals were served in the same area, and we dined there five or six times. The food was well cooked, but a bigger menu choice would have been appreciated. The Swimming Pool appeared to be under-used with no staff in attendance, and so no refreshments were available. The location is away from the city centre, which we thought might present a problem as some surrounding areas appeared dubious, but the proximity of Tram Line 2 at 300 metres away, and the numerous buses allayed our concerns. Good location, very close to the park and tram lines. Short walk to the old down and coastline. Rooms were nice and pool was good but unheated. Staff were okay, when we asked for help it took a while to get someone to assist us.

Clean room. Lovely size. Staff helpful and friendly! Good location and lime bikes useful outside for getting about. Rooftop pool a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a bar up there and hardly any sunbeds. Only about 5-6 max. And they rock and back for. Could do with a bit of work on roof as the hotel next door had a fabulous rooftop so we went there for a drink instead.

Excellent location with lots of restaurants and cafes close by. A couple of minutes walk to port Lympia tram stop which takes you to Nice airport. The room is spacious, the king size bed is very large and comfortable and the sofa bed is comfortable too. The room entrance is very dark which needs a light fitting. The bathroom isn’t great though, the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly with urine stain underneath. Shower head is placed near the corner making it awkward to wash yourself.

Rooms were highly cleaned, staff were very welcoming and always happy to help.

Clean and good location

Poor service and standard. We were four but got two towels every day for a whole week, I had to go down to reception get the towels. Did not swap glasses daily. The so-called swimming pool is a joke.

Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and we loved the breakfasts!

A conveniently located hotel near the tram line but with some paperwork issues when seeking invoices / receipts for my stay.

The pool was closed, and despite the numerous emails welcoming us to the hotel, no one informed us. The bathroom smelt of sewers. The carpet was dirty and the hotel needs updating. We will not be staying here again.

I choose this hotel due to the roof top pool for the kids to use in the evenings and when we arrived they advised it’s not currently open due to a technical fault. Apart from that, nice hotel, location and good food/ breakfast.
