I was very disappointed, as this is a Marriott property, and I have stayed at many of their properties. The location was fantastic and easy to get to and the outside of the building is truly beautiful. Inside, the hotel looked to be in disrepair, which a crying shame, as this is an historic hotel. The check- in area felt like a dormitory, the room that served coffee did not have pleasing furniture or layout and was not at all welcoming and there was very limited and run down furniture in what could have been a beautiful outdoor courtyard. Is Marriott aware of how awful the property looks? It could be a real jewel. So sad!

It’s kind of hard for me to even believe this is a Marriott hotel. The bed was sunken in the middle. There was residue on the floor of the bathroom and on the mini bar. The floor was sticky. Half the lightbulbs in the room didn’t work. The breakfast was one rock hard bagel, a rock hard English muffin or cereal. And honestly, it just felt cheaply remodeled to the point where I had to check the photos online to see if I was just misremembering what I booked! Skip it. I would not stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Seven Gables Inn. The room was big (213) and clean. Huge marble bath and heated toilet. Some of the hotel needs a paint job or renovation but the room was great. People friendly and made an extra effort. My colleague stayed in a different room half the size and was not happy so now I understand the mixed reviews on the site. Ask for room 213 or equivalent.

One of the best hotels/inns I’ve ever stayed in. I travel often for work and have stayed in many hotels. The customer service was top notch! They allowed me to check in early and I got some of the best sleep I’ve had in ages! All the restaurants close by are very good. Highly recommend this place and would easily stay again if I am in the area again!

No one was at the front desk originally, I had to hunt people down in the bar to ask about parking and only after I returned from the parking did I see an employee. There was absolutely no soap, body wash, or shampoo in the bathroom. Quiant place, I might have just gotten unlucky. I would try again.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We were quite dissappointed. The tv in the bathroom did not work. We could not figure out how to use the bidet so we called the front desk, she had no idea how to use it. We finally figured it out on day 2 of our stay. Day 1 breakfast was just ok. After we got our food then a lady came out and offered omelets. Day 2 breakfast noone was around. no plates, no coffee, no water. We thought there was an awful smell in the hall. I don't think we will stay here again expecially for the price.

The rooms were good but I guess I expected a more elevated experience. It felt like a Marriott hotel room with just more features but it was not really an elevated luxury experience. The breakfast was not good. I wish I walked to the restaurant next door. It was a standard Holiday Inn type meal but the fruit was soggy and the eggs, sausage etc seemed like it was microwaved.

Nice little property, close to our favorite restaurant, Tony’s. Staff were friendly rooms were clean and the wife loved the bidet. Not much of a view but only 3 stories, mostly enjoyed the old feel of the gables while still being modern.. z

This is my second stay at 7 Gables.I love the area and the feel of 7 Gables.A lot of flowers& greenery in the courtyard. The rooms are simple yet elegant. The staff were welcoming & friendly! I hope to continue to come back occasionally when in the Stl area!
