We were not allowed to check in until well after the stated time, which was frustrating. But more seriously, the condition of Room was completely unacceptable:
Dead bugs (including flies and a ladybug) were found throughout the room.
There were no washcloths provided.
A manager had to come personally to clean up the bugs.
Most alarming, we discovered what appeared to be a bed bug in the bed—a disturbing and unacceptable discovery that led us to check out immediately, cutting our trip short.
We submitted a formal complaint and provided photo evidence. While we did receive a refund for the night we left, the management’s response fell short. Despite acknowledging our negative experience and saying this was not “their standard,” they dismissed the presence of bed bugs based on a later Orkin inspection that did not align with our experience. No further compensation or genuine accountability was offered beyond the single-night refund via Expedia.
This experience was not only unhygienic and stressful but poorly handled in the aftermath. I would strongly caution other travelers about staying here until significant improvements are made to both cleanliness and guest service.
