Hotel Schiff am Rhein: The rooms could be improved, but everything was very clean and quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Really nice food, well presented and friendly staff. The non-smoking section is nicer than the smoking, but they allow smoking in both sections - so knocking it down (I thought it was great they had a section free of cigarette smoke, but then ended up beside chain smokers in the non-smoking section, putting a damper on the great food and wine).

I was just visiting the cafe. Service was organised, showed the right balance between presence and distance. Espresso, Late Machiato where up to good swiss standard. No issues, washroom was clean and presentable.

Perfect location, right on the border of Germany and Swiss, right next to Rhein river. Easy access to both countries public transportation system. At Altstadt of Rheinfelden Swiss side. Surrounded by lot of restaurants and shopping.

I ate a delicious parsley root soup - never before did I even think of a soup based on a herbal root. Matched it with a local pinot blanc from Marsen (think that is a local village, nearby, if I caught the name correctly).
