Good

Caribe hotel is a wonderful budget hotel in the heart of Centro Mérida. The staff is friendly and helpful and the grounds are pretty. The pool is VERY clean! i recommend along for a room on an upper floor, much like every other place I've visited in a hot climate the bottom floor room smelled musty, they moved us to the 2nd floor and it was fine. The rooms are modest but a clean place to rest your head. Beds are firm but as someone who doesn't love firm beds i didn't find it too bad and had a great sleep. Our AC didn't work all that well, had we been staying longer I would have asked for another room or see if it could be serviced. One thing i didn't love is that there was no safe in the room. There was an old broken one but was useless as it didn't lock. We didn't eat there, but i saw others having breakfast and it looked tasty. One thing to note, if you're driving this is a tricky hotel to find.. It's tucked into the corner of a courtyard and hard to see the sign from the road. It's next to a starbucks and the Merida Mansion. You put on your 4 way blinkers in front of the Merida Mansion and run into hotel caribe for a parking pass and someone will help you to the parking lot a couple blocks away. You have to leave a 200 peso deposit but you get it back at the end of your stay when you hand the pass back. In conclusion, Id definitely stay again at this hotel. The location is excellent for centro, the price is great and staff friendly.

The room was clean and staff was always very attentive and friendly. The chef in the restaurant was amazing. I am a vegetarian and he made me special food just for me. The building it's very nice with history. I will recommend this lovely place.

Everything was great. Location is fantastic, the rest. food was good and reasonably priced, nice atrium atmosphere tho a little fridge in the room would have been good as it gets hot in that area!

Its a beautiful hotel. Centrally located. Rooms are spacious and they have AC.

Nice staff and great location - in the middle of town and all the shops but very private and quiet inside the hotel. Roof top pool is great too ❤️

I have stayed here before and was very pleasantly surprised at all the improvements and upgrades that have happened since my last visit. Very clean very pleasant and in much better condition than previous visits, they have done a great job upgrading.

Great stay. In the middle of everything you want to do in Merida within walking distance. From Paseo de Montejo to the Mercado.

This was our first time staying at Hotel Caribe and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was clean and the staff was the best ever as everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Rooms are very nice

Inexpensive hotel one block from the city’s main plaza. The property is beautiful but worn down, and we lost power several times while there. However, location and price still make us a great choice for budget minded travelers.

This is a lovely older, but well maintained hotel in Merida with beautiful gardens and open air dining for breakfast. It is convenient for walking to the Main Plaza, shopping and restaurants. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, and other staff members were efficient. I had a very enjoyable stay.
