Nice property in historic buildings. Be mindful that there are stairs up and down required both to enter the building and parking lot. No elevator. Good night’s rest in a comfortable bed with spacious seating area. Parking off street free included in the price of the room. Rooms facing the street will have noticeable street noise from regular traffic and trucks going about their daily business. Breakfast is available for purchase. Of note, Halifax is a lovely city, very walkable. If you’re looking for a good view of Halifax from the water, save some money and take the three dollar ferry across the Harbour to Dartmouth rather than riding the harbor hopper.

I would definitely go back. I loved the old Victorian vibe and the staff were great.

The Halliburton was centrally located, just blocks from the Halifax Waterfront and Fisherman’s Market. We enjoyed being able to walk to our favorite restaurants and attractions.

We just spent the night but the staff were great. It was nice being so close to the waterfront!

This is a great location to everything downtown and has boutique charm. The outdoor patio is a great escape and the rooms are spacious, updated clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

lovely place to stay in the heart of Halifax

We stayed for four nights with friends. We were lucky enough to have a rear fronted room with a lovely view of the courtyard. Staff were very accommodating. The rooms were quaint with lovely decor. The bathroom was a little small with limited shelving. We enjoyed the $15 for 5 items on the breakfast menu. The location was perfect. Easy walking to the water front with lots of places to eat nearby. Free parking onsite.

The shower lost all pressure a few times. The wifi would drop every 15-20 mins. The hot water took a while to get. Even in late afternoon.

The room we had was unique in that it was a large room with nice chairs to sit in. It was very clean and close to the Boardwalk. Lots of restaurants around us and great for walking to activities on the harbourfront.

Bed and shower amazing, floors a lot squeaky! Need room darkening blinds to help with the noon checkout!

Very nice stay! It can be a bit noisy with lots of door opening and closing that can be immediately heard and felt.

Great location. Very close to numerous pubs and restaurants in the downtown area. Quaint, luxurious old-school vibe. Would certainly book here again!

The hotel has a European feel, which was great!. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. I would go back in a heart beat.

Heritage buildings with a lot of character and skylights everywhere. Comfy bed, clean environment, excellent location. Bath rooms, carpeting and furniture (vintage and in need of refinish) could use a bit of facelift, but overall the buildings are cute. It seems that every room is unique. The location is excellent - two blocks from Pier 21 and close to Dalhousie. Can be noisy if you open the windows (but who doesn't love operable windows?). Free parking in the back of the hotel was a plus.

Only missing thing that would have been useful in the room was a microwave. Otherwise everything was great.
