Sewer smell from the drains in the public baths. There were fragrance devices (with fans) in the public areas. These 2 things might be related. It was a stinky experience. The perfume smell permeated into the rooms through central AC. Water quality was nice. Linens were good. But the place smelled bad!

The room and the public bath were very clean It was within walking distance from the Ishigaki ferry boarding area Many buses stop at the hotel's front door, which is very convenient I took a bus bound for the airport

Great place to stay in Ishigaki. The pool, spa, and shop were all quite convenient and the hotel is walking distance to the port, shops, and restaurants. My only complaint is that the hotel brings in very large tour groups and so it was always quite busy in common areas.

Excellent hotel

Staff are friendly and helpful. Great view from 13th floor restaurant. A little disappointed that the pool was closed at the end of october.

Good hotel for Ishigaki. Ample parking (extra lot behind the hotel), a good amount of restaurants nearby, and very friendly service. Would stay there again.

It was a nice decent hotel

Free parking-- helpful as this hotel is not as close to the main port shopping area as many other options and parking is rarely free or even available at many Ishigaki hotels, which we understand. The hotel was beautiful, with helpful English speaking staff who do their very best to communicate well and help in every way they can. The pool area is boisterous with many happy families, so we'd say this is a great option if you have children. The room was also incredibly clean, well appointed and surprisingly spacious with a lovely view of a garden with koi pond below. It's an excellent hotel and offers great value for money.

Nice hotel near town centre - walkable to restaurants in town

Very nice stay with view on the city and harbor! Hot baths at night! Close to many diverse restaurants

The staff was welcoming and very helpful and they all made efforts to speak English. It was my birthday while I was staying there and the General Manager, Mr Muramatsu, sent treats and a card to our room and the restaurant staff presented me with a special dessert! Special thanks to Mr Kuramoto, front desk!

older hotel, renovated.. nice facilities such as pool, spa/sauna.. away from the coast and some 15-20min walk from the town harbour

Wonderful time at The Art. Buffets were reasonably priced with good variety. They had an all you can drink alcohol for 1,500yen or under $10 for 60 minutes. Pool was nice and the tour desk booked a great tour of Iriomote for us.

Staff were great! Our room was spacious and clean. We loved their pajamas so much my son bought a set. We highly recommend vacation to IshigakiJima and the Art hotel

It was good stay overall, only thing is that they give 1000yen Gift ticket per for not using House clean service. But they only give only one day ticket at a time, so we stayed 10 nights and everyday we had to go to the front for the 1000 gift ticket which is not convenient NOR good service. They should give all 9 tickets at time of check in. That was the service I received at other hotel nearby.
