The hotel and the friendly staff.

Is good , the bad thing is room cleaning, past 6 days without clean

Coffee maker in the room or tea maker. Phone in the room. Plastic bags for females. Bigger TV with more international channels. Something open or organised for the New Year Eve.

There is not much option for vegetarians. And no halal food at-all

This room seemed to be a bit older or maybe other rooms I’ve stayed in have been updated recently. This does not take away from it being a pleasant stay and a comfortable room. I am a solo traveller and it was good for me being the queen bed option. I feel a couple might be a bit tight but definitely doable. The staff were very friendly and remembered me. Got me in a tad earlier than check in, which was appreciated. The local bus is only a short walk to the hotel, and the town is so small that you could walk anywhere in the main “city” from the hotel. I will stay here next time I’m in Alta.

The location was great. I had a room facing the Northern Lights Cathedral which got nice views with the northern lights one night. The room was comfortable and a good size for one. Staff were very helpful, however sometimes during busy periods it took a long time to just purchase a bottle of water. The breakfast was good and varied and if purchased at the hotel cheaper than what was charged when booking. The local bus stop is 100m from the hotel so it was cheap and easy to get from the airport to the hotel. There were two nights that the restaurant was closed due to functions that wasn’t communicated to guests. Besides all of that, an excellent hotel in a great location!

Everything was great. Rooms a a tad dated but property was great for a night. Breakfast was good and they are allowing a 2p checkout.

The hotel is close to places that I want to go. Close to a bus terminal.

Clean room with good shower. No hot drinks facilities in room. Could do with soft seating in reception and a few more baggage trolleys.

Great place on the way to Cape North. Good food

Check in simple. Excellent breakfast buffet. Room clean and serviceable for a brief overnight stay.

Our flight got cancelled and we booked this place because Thon Hotel where we stayed at previously was fully booked and we liked its location and noted that Scandic was just beside. However, although we paid double the price at Scandic, the rooms were smaller, views weren’t as great and most of all, staff there were all grumpy and receptionist that tended to us was rude. We simply asked if we could get an earlier check in if there was a room available as we were tired and had a lot of manage with our flight cancellation but she showed zero empathy and was simply brushed us away and asked us to come back later to ask, without giving any time or more information. For the amount we paid, we definitely do expect some better service here. Scandic, if you do not want to lose your customers to a better player you have just opposite you, please retrain your staff or maybe reduce your prices.

Loved our stay here so much. The included breakfast buffet was the best we’ve ever head! Would love to come back!

There is very good, rich breakfast, friendly staff but unfortunately at least 3 of those members were quite useless in helping us to get that wi-fi. For all our 3 days of stay there was a lot of problem with the wi-fi, including the totaly wrong instructions how to get it. Those instructions were given to us in a small peace if paper together with the key-card. The rooms are with big, comfortable, clean bed and linens but the space in the room is very tiny, so if you are a couple, you will be bumping accidently to each other, stapping on each other feet, nocking things around or stepping on peaces of your luggage. And we are both slim people. I can't even imagine how hard it could be if the customer is of a bigger body-type: taller or wider.

Walkable! The bed was comfortable and the staff extremely helpful with helping me navigate and get acclimated to the system to find a train.
