Hotel is very outdated. The sink was rusty, there were stains on the bedspread and chairs, and the air conditioner looked like it hadn't been replaced since the 1980s (or even earlier). It really feels like the property hasn't been renovated in decades.Room is extremely moist , found two earwigs(this bug is sign of excessive moisture)
If you're traveling with more than four people, be careful. We have three children, and unlike many other hotels that either allow an extra child for a fee or simply don't make an issue of it, we were told we had to book and pay for a second room. The receptionist, who was also the owner/manager, was very friendly and talkative. She explained that she didn't want to have any issues with the fire inspector. While I understand the policy, it ended up costing us about the same as staying at a much nicer hotel with a pool and rooms designed for five guests.
Lesson learned..our mistake. We tried to save money and ended up paying twice. Next year we'll book a better hotel with family-sized rooms and a pool instead of this place.
On the positive side, the room was clean, and the breakfast, while simple, was decent. Good location.
Overall, this motel doesn't seem to be geared toward families. It feels more suited to truck drivers, workers, or travelers just passing through.
