Greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel in a medieval town. The rooms were very nice, the restaurant was excellent. Many lovely places to sit with a drink and/or food. Wonderful breakfast and close, free parking. Very conveniently located

We had a great time staying here. The room was lovely, comfy bed and nice clean bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice. Would recommend if you want to stay in a peaceful location with lots of very old buildings. Great castle for National Trust members too.

Really old place steeped in history but spotlessly clean with mod cons. Friendly staff, all with warm welcomes from reception, bar, restaurant, breakfast and housekeeping - a credit to the hotel. We had a Finest double room with private courtyard garden, comfy armchairs, double wardrobe, huge bathroom and quality linen and towels. Lots of small bar areas keeping it cosy and quirky. Parking is an issue because of it's great location in the heart of this medieval village and being a 15th century building, no doubt the horse and carriage back in the day had no problems! But we managed to park a100 yards down the road in the public car park with reasonable charges. There is free parking in the High Street if you can get a space, but we where there over the Bank Holiday weekend, so it was very busy. Dunster castle is walkable as is Dunster station on the West Somerset Railway Heritage line. Wonderful birthday weekend!

Booked our international corporate partners to stay here and joined them for dinner. They were incredibly impressed! We also notified them of allergens a month in advance and they went above and beyond to accomodate for us given the menu changed that evening. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment I went to book the hotel to the moment we left after Dinner. The chef and kitchen staff make fantastic food and would highly reccomend eating here even if you choose not to stay. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.

Lovely hotel. Rooms spacious and immaculate. Only disappointment was the food. Menu was not really to our taste and when we did manage to find something suitable the cooking was not great. My comments about tough meat which I couldn't eat were acknowledged. Otherwise great stay.

Everything to do with the Lutterell Arms Hotel was 5* The parking is a problem as the High Street parking was always full, but didn’t spoil our stay!

A unique ancient hotel yet so comfortable. Very popular, so busy, but the staff are so attentive and friendly. The only minus is parking which is difficult due to the whole area being ancient so do parking areas really. I thoroughly recommend it though.

A beautiful old building full of character and nooks and crannies. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The village of Dunster is lovely with so much to discover close by. The room that my husband and I stayed in was very stylish, large and clean. The only downside was that it was four flights of stairs up. With us both in our 80's it was sometimes a bit of a struggle but given another week we may well have got used to it! I probably should have checked this when booking. I would recommend the Luttrell Arms to anyone who has a love of history and the English countryside.

From the very warm welcome to the chatty farewell, everyone we encountered was super friendly and polite. The room was secure, clean and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice to suit everyone. Evening menu has a limited choice, but food good. The hotel has all the old creaking charm you could want, with lots of nooks and crannies to tuck yourselves into for a drink. Cracking beer garden with a castle view. Parking round the corner in the public car park unless you’re lucky enough to get one in the market square high street. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to visit again in the autumn.

Luttrell Arms is a charming hotel, full of character and we were made to feel so welcome by Julie on reception. Our room was amazing and very comfortable. Lovely gardens, perfect for a G&T in the late afternoon! We had dinner in the restaurant both evenings. Excellent food and a special mention to Gabor and Jules who both worked so hard. Already planning a return trip!

Excellent character property, with well trained and cheerful staff, good service and good food. Only criticism would be small choice of vegetarian options and no Sunday vegetarian roast choice. Like others, we enjoy our Sunday lunch and were disappointed to have only a risotto or pasta dish offered. Why can’t a nut roast be offered as well
