Very helpful friendly staff but this lovely building is in need of a good upgrade to justify the prices. It’s a very tired basic hotel inside which is a shame. Ripped chair seat in my room wasn’t inviting to sit on and paint peeling off the radiator. Repair work around plug in my room hadn’t been finished.

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was dated but functional and for one night it did the job! I didn't have breakfast due to time restraints but it smelt good! Parking onsite was a big plus and it only took 10 mins in a taxi to the seafront.

Free breakfast included, I slept in though so didn’t go. The room was surprisingly small for one at first but when you get settled in, it’s quite cozy. Luckily, a massive fan was provided during the summer so that’s great. Parking was free, though the car park was very small so you had to be lucky or timely to get a space (I was lucky). The location was a 50 min walk from the sea front or a 10 min drive. Free water was also provided in the room which was very nice.

The hotel could benefit from some modernisation, as parts of it are looking a little dated. My main concern was the location of Room 227. It was a very long walk from reception and quite difficult to reach. Fortunately, I wasn’t travelling with a suitcase; otherwise, getting to the room would have been much more difficult. Better signage or assistance with luggage would have been appreciated.

Definitely not worth £144 for 1 night, grim looking hotel could do with modernisation. Staff were nice, room was grimy, bathroom, carpet, windows. All out dated.

Our stay was fabulous the staff were very helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble the room was fabulous even though there still refurbishing parts of the hotel we had everything we needed and it was at an affordable price rate the breakfast was great and so happy it’s included in the price which is a bonus and it was the perfect stay and we didn’t have to worry about parking either and it’s in a great location we’ll definitely be back and we’ll most definitely make this the hotel we stay at when we visit family and friends in Brighton thanks

With parking on site and a bus stop outside, this was a great place to stay and good value for money. The building is a little tired, but the staff are helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I would stay again as is very convenient for visiting Brighton.

The room itself was OK, the TV was a little small given the size of the room. Basic room but provided value for money when just wanting somewhere to out your head down for the night.

Budget hotel priced fairly given its condition, the room was cleaned to a good standard despite it being very worn out and in need of modernisation throughout Rough and ready, value for money

Ample of parking. Helpful staff. Breakfast is complementary, but basic. The pub/ restaurant is handy for a quick bite. Bathrooms could be updated, but the room was simple and elegant. A good value ofr money overall.

The hotel is well placed if you arrive by train or local bus. Being around 2 miles outside central Brighton is ideal. Unfortunately the hotel is dated and needs a facelift. The staff are all helpful polite and courteous. The rooms need updating but for an overnight stay it's ok
