Super nice stay!

It is a beautiful property. The one drawback is the lack of local and reasonably priced food.

The Fairmont Orchid property and staff far exceeded our expectations! The location is beautiful, the staff were friendly and always willing to do anything to help make our stay comfortable l! The big island offers so much to see and do. You cannot go wrong staying here! Mahalo!

This resort is really nice. Location is great and it’s very well maintained. It’s only getting one star, because I felt differential treatment in a bad way from one of the people at check-in. This continued even at the check out which was very disheartening. I won’t mention the name, but I hope other guests don’t feel that way.

After running and rushing around our vacation, this place was a happy oasis. It was the first time I didn’t want to leave a resort. I saw a turtle while snorkeling, my husband had a pickleball coach, and fed a lovebird and geese from my patio. The grounds and beach are beautiful, and the staff is exceptional.

This is an established, beautiful property. The gardens, koi ponds and beach are well-kept and beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. Housekeeping is very good. The room, bathroom and general areas need some up dates. Paint and surfaces are worn in places. The Luau was great. A real get-away.

Beautiful property. When I think of a Hawai’i hotel, I think of the lay out of this one. Walking in for the first time and seeing the ocean from the lobby, was a memorable experience.

I was originally going to give our stay a 5 star review & then I saw our checkout bill. I figured when we paid for the reservation, that was including all of the resort fees (excluding parking, which we needed to add). I was surprised to see they didn’t charge their resort fee of approx $40 a day. Oh! & if you’re gonna need a microwave, do that on your first day - you have to pay $25 & can keep it for your whole stay. We ended up only needing it for 1 night so that kinda sucked. Other than that, the resort was beautiful & clean and was the perfect location for our honeymoon.

My family and I just recently traveled here and the property was clean and the staff was very friendly. You have great views of the ocean and the property is peaceful. They have a beach, that is on the property and kid friendly. The food and drinks are good but on the pricer side. I would stay here again.

We loved Fairmont Orchid! The service was immaculate. Barbie, the manager, took care of an issue we had and made us very happy with our stay! We would stay at this Fairmont anytime we have an opportunity to return to the Big Island. And we would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

The staff is very friendly the place is very nice but I will mention one thing If you're getting a room make sure it's not an adjoining room or there are children nearby because you will hear them and they will keep you up all night. If you're okay with children crying all night then don't worry about it but you might want to check when you check in what rooms are around you.

For how expensive this resort is, they should offer better service and keep the hotel in better shape. The rooms are a bit run down. The housekeeping staff for our room was rude and did not replace things in the bathrooms such as towels, soap, etc when used. We were always short towels. The service was very slow for dining and housekeeping. The grounds are beautiful and Brown's Beach House serves wonderful food. Overall, a bit disappointing, not quite the experience I was hoping for. I would opt for a different hotel next time.
