Staff were not polite and not helpful after hours

Hollins Hall has been a great and grand hotel in the past I think. Does it need a revamp? Absolutely! That said, the bed was comfy. It caters for the golfing fraternity mostly it seems. Where Hollins Hall isn't as grand as the name might imply, we do stay there often as it's close to family we visit. In the broad scheme of things it's fine if you need a comfy bed for the night and it's very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean ( we had an accessible room - the toilet was too low with someone with mobility issues) the shower was fab and the bar on 2nd floor was nice and serves food until 9.30pm. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food quality.

Superb hotel in wonderful location handy for local amenities. Did not use spa facilities which looked good. Somewhat confusing concept - hotel had lovely frontage with outdoor seating area but bars etc were closed so not able enjoy snacks, drinks etc at the front. Maybe the available facilities at the front were opened for weddings only. Although a large significant hotel the only facilities available were a small bar/restaurant a good trek away at the rear in the golf area. Outdoor seating with no views surrounded by golf buggy/trolley parking. Food was not impressive. Overall impression was that unless golfers or event guests residents were a nuisance and although claiming to be dog friendly were merely accepting of dogs with uncomfortable coffee table type areas only available for dining. Staff were polite but rarely friendly and rooms were not made up daily. Enjoy your wedding or golf here certainly but otherwise a normal passing business trade venue at its best.

Warm welcome, professional staff, beautiful room, very clean, comfortable and practical. Only downside, no fridge or minibar. Gorgeous location, only here a short time so didn't check out golf, spa or bar etc but will definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful site with large swimming pool and spa. The buildings are over 100 years old with trees around. Extremely large front garden. Great for pictures. Exceptional venue for wedding. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would love to stay here again. Thank you.

We recently stayed at Hollins Hotel and Spa and overall had a lovely experience. The hotel is in a great area with plenty of parking available, which made arriving and getting around really easy. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and we definitely felt it was good value for money. The spa facilities were a highlight — the pool, hot tub, and sauna were all really nice and well maintained. The changing rooms were also clean and tidy, although the lockers were a little confusing to use at first. We stayed in one of the suites, which was large and spacious with a nice little sitting area to relax in. The big TV was a great touch and already had all the streaming services downloaded. Unfortunately, the WiFi was quite poor, so streaming quality was a bit hit and miss at times. The only main downsides for us was the bed, as the mattress was very firm and thin. A memory foam topper or upgraded mattress would make a huge difference to comfort. Also, the check out time was 10:30am which we thought was quite early. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

A lovely hotel if not a little dated. I invited staff are helpful and efficient but at the weekend the leisure centre has reduced hours and the pool is closed after 6pm. So if these is the main reason for your visit you should be aware

No food in late evening which was a shame as I missed dinner at an event I was attending in Leeds. Overnight the hotel was very noisy with sound travelling between floors etc. The staff were nice but a little indifferent. The breakfast was part cold and the coffee was terrible. Didn’t get a chance to try the spa.

Have stayed at Hollins Hall for many years. The breakfast is always provides a good selection and pleasant dining room to eat in.

Great location and attentive staff

We had dinner in the bar / grill. Service was great and the food was delicious.

Very tired. Heating was not very good. Room cold. No extra pillows. Bathroom facilities restricted. No conditioner

Very nice stay at this hotel. Clean room quite spacious with lovely and friendly staff. Very nice buffet breakfast.
