Impressive , well located hotel in tiny Harrogate . We had a spacious executive double room but with 2 singles squashed together and no facility to specify a double. The room was very large but missing a long mirror and had space for a couch, for an executive room i would expect such niceties. The bathroom had a loose tap and loose shower fittings. Also the view of a rusty fire escape onto a flat roof was very disappointing. Overall a very impressive facility but could be so much better. Had we stayed longer then the 1 night, we would had raised these issues with the reception, but we had no time to do so.

The reception check in was a bit complicated The person the desk forgot to issue me with a car park pass It bc was also extremely difficult to understand the member of staff

The staff were helpful and the communal areas were clean and well presented. The bedroom was clean but very dated and due refurbishment.

Appalling reception service when checking in due to the cancellation fee charged after their incompetence of not returning my calls over the weekend prior to our visit? I eventually made contact & told to contact Expedia to cancel one room. They also refused their dinner offer & as a consequence we cancelled our dinner reservation All I can say is that the receptionist was confrontational & lacked any empathy towards me & party!

We arrived early, though we couldnt check in early we were given our parking pass so we could park up amd go exploring. The car park is right on site amd easily accessible. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and the coffee was amazing. The bed was very comfortable to get in after a lovely long soak in the bath. No issues with the tv. In a closet there were tea/coffee making equipment, hairdryer, iron and trouser press. Oh and there was also an electric fan which was amazing as it was such a hot day.

There was no parking available as event on at weekend but there was places outside which weren’t used in the over night which could of been used The bathroom was very outdated cracked tiels on the floor on more than one tiel Sink was blocked The bath was all blk mould round not a pleaseant stay

The room was clean, if a little dated, bed comfortable, and a great breakfast. Sink in the bathroom was cracked ( although not leaking ) and unfortunately there was hot water coming out of the cold tap, this was dealt with quickly however when I reported it.( the manager also provided us with bottled water to clean our teeth!) The hotel was preparing for a big event whilst we were there but it had no detrimental effect on our stay. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The hotel itself is a lovely old building with loads charm and character, and the dining room is ceiling is exceptional. Overall for the two nights I was happy with the amount I paid to stay, and I would stay again, although if Im honest Im not really sure I’d like the same room.!!

Everything was good but the building is showing its age.

Unfortunately in my single room there was no side table and the floor is on a slope. But saying that , I managed and would certainly recommend this hotel,it's beautiful setting ,lovely breakfast, all the staff do an excel job , a lift to all floors . excellent!

A very nice hotel central to Harrogate and the surrounding countryside

We were allocated a huge room with a lovely sitting area - in great condition and very comfortable apart from the heat! It was in full afternoon sun and only 2 of the 4 sash windows would open at all, and the bathroom window was also seized. The electric fans did nothing to help! There was no bathroom blind at all, which might have helped to block some of the greenhouse effect.

The Hotel was not at all full, yet we were given a room at the back with no view. Not friendly. The pillows were very hard, making sleep difficult

Fabulous. Staff very attentive. Overall, it ticks all the boxes. Will stay again.

I found out room very shabby this time, we were at the back above the kitchens with scaffolding outside on the wall. There had obviously been a leak in the ceiling at some time and some efforts to patch it up weren't too great. The bathroom window had a crack in it so did the bedroom window. However this did not spoil our stay as the room and bathroom were very clean, the rest of the hotel was beautiful and the staff were lovely.

Our room had plenty of space iron/ironing board/hairdryer all provided as well as toiletries Plenty of choice for breakfast and a small but tasty menu in the evening I think there was maintenance work ongoing and the hotel does need a comprehensive overhaul Plenty of parking spaces but location is right in the centre and we didn’t use our car at all during the stay Stars of the break were the staff so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces Thank you !

we were allowed the room 2 hrs early + dirty mark on bed cover(very off putting) - had a £10 drink added to our bar bill which we did't have!- discretionary % added to the bill which negates any saving going via expedia- attitude of staff not good on exit when negatives mentioned- will definitely wont book this hotel again or book with expedia without compensation !!!

The hotel is very well presented, in a good state of repair and has character. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the room adequately large, confortable and clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

Could be 4-5 star but a little lacking. Good for a business stay. Harrogate a lovely location
