Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Not best positioned if you’re not good at hills but ok if you have a car. Quiet area with a few good looking restaurants.

Loved the country house style of the hotel. Check-in was quick and reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and decorated to our taste. Comfy bed and powerful shower with hot water. Room was tided daily and water replenished. Plenty of parking and views from hotel and room were magnificent. Choice at breakfast was good although sadly the hot choices were not cooked fresh and you could tell they had been cooked in advance and were sitting warming, so scrambled egg not hot, tomatoes dried etc. A shame and the main thing for not giving this hotel a full 5 stars.

Very helpful and friendly staff

This is a comfortable hotel. The lounge/restaurant area is superb - a great place to relax and enjoy the view over the bay. We enjoyed our bar snacks meal and our one dinner was of excellent quality. Our bathroom was a bit tired - adequate but needed a refurb. Most staff e.g. reception and bar, were warm and welcoming. Outside areas are beautiful - the pool looks good. Reasonable parking Steepish walk down to the little harbour.

Parking not good as insufficient spaces so double parking. Must leave key at the reception for them to move one’s car. Would be a huge problem during the peak season. Bar staff forgetful had to ask twice for menu and again to get my drink

The hotel is in a lovely location. Bus service is good from the centre of town, and it is not difficult to walk along the beach to St Helier. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the staff are very warm, friendly and helpful.

Trip with 3 friends Lovely hotel, friendly staff Food at Breakfast and in the evening was wonderful. If you are going to Jersey, stay here

Lovely short trip

A perfect stay as it always has been in the past.

A first class hotel with a really special feel! My room was extremely comfortable with amazing views. The cocktail bar and restaurant are first class. All the staff went over and above to make my stay a welcoming one. Delighted to recommend the Somerville xx

Great location to spend time at if visiting for a few days. We were lucky and had a week. Great breakfast and service. Had an excellent meal in Tides and cocktails were great - especially in happy hour.

A lovely hotel in a super location. Glorious views across the bay from the main lounge & dining room. Lots of dining options in the town, all within walking distance. Staff were excellent & nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Food was excellent & beautifully presented. Would love to return & definitely recommend 😊

The views from our window and the dining room where fabulous

We never tired of the view and although it's elevated position means a short trundle up a hill if you're on foot, it's well worth it and not at all strenuous. The food is excellent and the hotel is very comfortable.

The hotel was beautiful and service provided excellent. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that the room got very warm and it proved difficult to sleep at night. With no air conditioning the only way to stay cool as night was to use the small fan provided and leave the windows open. We were there when the temperature was averaging 23 degrees, any hotter would have been uncomfortable. Overall a superb hotel which didn’t disappoint

Lovely hotel that maintains standards from a bygone time. I almost felt that Agatha Christie might appear! Fabulous sea view restaurant, lots of choice for breakfast. Nice lunch and dinner options. Comfy beds.
