My wife and I prefer to stay in historic hotels whenever we can. We love the character, the classic comfort and ambiance, and the beautiful location on Reynolds Square. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel offered a wine and cheese gathering in the lobby on Friday evening. They also served up fresh, hot cookies in the evenings. This hotel was a classic that lived up to our expectations. The location was close to all we wanted to do. This was much more enjoyable for us as compared to a more “modern” hotel. The staff were great and very friendly. They treated us well and with respect. The valet and bellman were kind and friendly.

Who’s actually. Hotel is in a great spot if you like historic buildings, and we do :-) our only complaint and it wasn’t a huge one, was that we got a lot of noise out of the parking garage next-door to us on Saturday night. But the staff was very friendly. It’s clean their personable. Will definitely stay here again.

Other than the bed being a bit noisy and that they could have had a water bottle in the room, we'd give it top marks. Close to everything...

Good location but the room was very dirty and extremely dusty, we could not stop sneezing and coughing. Batrhoom had hair all over the floor.

We had a nice stay in the Planters Inn. The service is top-notch and the hotel is very beautiful. The furnishings are a bit dated, but in a classy way; a bit like a wealthy grandmothers’s home! The location can’t be beat; just steps away from excellent restaurants and the water.

You had to ask to have you room cleaned, for towels, toilet paper, etc... I have never been to a hotel like this one. They put more enfaces on have cheese and wine in the lobby? I paid more than If I went directly through the Inn itself. I will not do this again.

What a disappointment. I thought it would be like the Planters Inn in South Carolina but the only thing they have in common is the name. The Savannah location was run down. 1 of the 2 elevators was not working. Towels were cheap and rough. The room smelled moldy and had a water stain on ceiling. The shower curtain was also moldy and the tub floor felt sandy on my feet. The staff was not super friendly like in other hotels in Savannah. One employee we asked for directions was too busy playing a game on his phone to make eye contact. The feeling I got from the staff, was, this is a paycheck and I'm going to do as little as I have to. There was no privacy sign available on the door either. This place is very run down and the staff is not a happy one, for that, I blame management, with the one exception of the man who helped with luggage upon departure, he had great customer service. Perhaps he should be the manager and show the others they are in a customer service business. I don't recommend this place, unless you like a surly staff, moldy room and towels I wouldn't use on my dog. I give it a no stars, if it was available.

Excellent location. Very nice staff. Rooms are dated. Difficult to manage temperature in the room . Notified by text on way to hotel that one has to request a room cleaning which I would have like to have known prior to day of arrival

Right downtown overlooking a beautiful square. Quinns for breakfast next door. Parking is just around the corner. Free public bus to waterfront and all around the historic district couldn’t be more convenient - one block walk. Pink House bar and highly rated restaurant next door. Broughton shopping 3 blocks away.

Staff was wonderful, noise levels were awful due to outside issue's. Hotel really can't control this. I had gotten ill the first nights stay. Hotel was very accommodating in passing refund for my next night stay.

I loved the location of this hotel….just 2 blocks from the water and all the eateries and shops along the walkway. It was a fun place to get out, enjoy the sun and warm weather and have a good time. We also enjoyed the afternoon wine and cheese in the lobby area. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Liked the central location, ability to walk around to many shops & restaurants. Did not like the condition of the hotel, it needs updating. Customer service for the day time team was excellent, later evening it was poor.

Loved the old historic feel. The rooms were understandably older with some quirks. The walk to a busy street wuth tons of shopping and eating places was easyy. A breakfast, lunch option next door with hometown friendliness and prices.

Great city stay in Savannah. The PI is right in the middle of Savannah and walking distance to everything. Hotel service is great and rooms are clean with charm.
