The indoor pool was quite small and tended to be very busy with children, so it wasn’t the most relaxing experience. However, the room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with Molton Brown toiletries provided, and having a bath in the room was a lovely touch. The cooked breakfast was also excellent and really enjoyable each morning. That said, I do think the property could benefit from some general maintenance and updating in certain areas.

Tylney Hall is our favourite manor hotel in South East England. The whole experience is wonderful. The staff are very welcoming to dogs but unfortunately dogs aren't allowed inside much of the hotel. We therefore had breakfast served to our room and we ate out at local dog friendly pubs (The Falcon in Rotherwick & The Leather Bottle in Mattingley) for dinner. That said, we can't wait to stay at Tylney Hall again and will recommend the hotel to all our friends and family.

Clean room. Restaurant service was slow and food cold. Not acceptable for extensive Chataubriand.

Everything about Tylney Hall from the welcome at Reception, tasty lunch in the bar to dinner and breakfast in the Oak Room Restaurant, using the pool with lovely new changing room was wonderful. Our room was very comfortable and warm and all the staff we met were very friendly. Leaving was difficult but we are looking forward to another stay soon.

Lovely venue, great grounds. Spa staff in particular are a great asset an deliver a superior service. Hotel is very comfortable but it is pricey. For instance a pint of Diet Coke was over £11.

Unfortunately we solely chose this hotel to enjoy the pool for our son’s first swim. We have a 2 month old and a 2 year old. Having previously stayed at the Grand in Eastbourne the pool temperature had been brilliant for young children and imagined this would be similar. When we got in the pool it felt very cool, I asked the staff member if the temp could be turned up and we were informed the boiler was broken. It was too cold for our 2 month old to safely enjoy. The next morning we returned with our 2 year old for a swim in a thermal swim outfit so she could stay in longer but the pool was even colder! Despite essentially having a wetsuit on she didn’t last long on the pool and we had to leave. It was really disappointing we weren’t notified of this in advance as we simply would not have spent the money on this stay without being able to use the pool. It was an early Mother’s Day treat for me and it was ruined a bit by this and the poor service we received at dinner (feedback sent separately). We had expected a lot more…

Upon arriving at Tylney Hall, we were met with the most friendly and helpful staff, one staff member opening the front door and greeting us was very good and then another member of staff behind the reception who was equally very good. Made us feel very welcome. Our room was an accessible room (no 54) it was the most huge beautiful room we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous as well. The staff asked us if we could carry our luggage to the room and whether we needed housekeeping. I really appreciated this, we said no as my husband agreed to do this himself for us both. I would highly recommend this room for guests who are disabled. Plenty of room for a wheelchair and or a scooter. The bathroom has an a big huge accessible shower, accessible toilet and a bath tub. It is a very pretty bathroom not like the normal this is a disabled bathroom sort of look. There was a good selection of teas and coffee. Nice TV and comfortable bed. I really cant fault anything about the room, it was excellent. The grounds outside are beautifully maintained, really lovely trees and springtime flowers coming through.
