Last minute stay but clean, comfortable and a pleasant member of staff on reception !

Good clean modern property. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Reception staff was not very helpful Could not be bothered attitude

Limited parking. Bar isn’t open late. No lift but only ground & first floor building anyway. 2 of the 4 pillows were lumpy. However, it was clean, the staff were lovely, breakfast was ok, location was convenient. I would stay again if the price was right!

Choose a hotel with aircon. Our room wasn't working and had a plug-in fan and a heater (so clearly a known issue). Window barley opened so on one of the hottest days it was like a furnace. Got no sleep. Kept awake by heat, fan noise, and noise and light from outside given we could not close the wooden blinds. Had to phone reception at 3am (!!) to ask them to request the car outside playing music and shining lights into our room to leave. 2nd night we got moved to a different room. Totally different experience to actually get what we paid for and be able to sleep. Even though hotel is very tired and needs updating, it can be forgiven if you are actually comfortable and able to sleep.

good, clean hotel, our room was beautiful and very large for a family of 4. we had a double and 2 sofa beds. Unfortunately one of the beds was very bumpy and uncomfy so my son chose to put mattress on the floor where he discovered the mattress to be really thin and he did not get the best nights sleep (this was not reported to reception as it was late at night, I'm sure they would have helped if they were informed) The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful, friendly, kind and professional. The food was delicious and fairly priced. location for us was perfect as we booked the hotel for a half way point on our journey. It was a pleasure to stay here and we would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Air conditioning unit leaking water in first room so was relocated. The only room they had left had an air conditioning fault so room only had a fan. The room temperature was in excess of 30 degrees so had a bad nights sleep. Staff were very apologetic.

the reception area excellent, and that is where it stops, and up grade nedded in hall ways carpets worn out, as for the rooms carpets stained, decorating does not look its been done for a very long time, miss match on celling, ie colours, tv very old, plug missing in the bathroom sink, over bath shower, the breakfast was ok, but had too ask staff for eggs as buffet trays not filled up, staff not keeping an eye on that, customers waiting for them to be topped up, if you want a cheap over night stay and not bothered about rooms etc go for it, we have stayed at other holiday inns are were all lovely but sadly not this one, will not stay again, thats we have given it 3 stars needs up dating badly.

The carpet in the corridors are so old and are in need of change! It’s a poor look! My experience at the lounge restaurant was not good but the managers manner was exceptional to overcome the issues. He was to be highly respected and commended for the way he dealt with a few issues we were encountering.

Really bad air conditioning. Staff is very good try help us but somethings they can’t do

Short staffed so difficult to find someone for help. Duty manager/receptionist was clearing dinner tables when we arrived and the bar tender had a queue so nobody to check us in.

Comfortable room although none have walk in shower. Did look a little tired but friendly and helpful staff.

Comfortable and lovely staff. Ground floor room which suited my mobility. The room was clean and airy, but sadly the bathroom could have used a bit more cleaning! (The lower toilet bowl was stained, and I don't think anyone had cleaned the bathroom door in some time! It was splashed and grubby.)

Was woken at 0500 by the person in the room above getting up. They were not doing anything loud but the floor creaked so badly it made me wake up. I checked in late after a long day on the road and did not need this.....

Dated hotel no money spent on it. Several big spiders in my room.

Always know you get a decent room at a Holiday Inn. Free parking was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not impressed with the room size. Bed too soft and low. Was surprised and shocked by the fact that a family group of 4 adults were allowed to fill plastic containers with everything from the breakfast buffet to the detriment of other guests. They emptied the bacon, sausage serving trays, also eggs , cereals milk and eventually coffee in thermos flasks. Your other guest had to wait until your staff filled them again. Should this hotel group wish to make profits in the future , your staff should not pander to guests effectively stealing your offered food. Oh yes, they had also filled their plates to overflowing before eating. Disgusting.
