Staff excellent. All polite, friendly and helpful. Every member we spoke to was lovely.

Poor check in experience, room was not ready and after a wait to check in faced with a massive check in queue. Quality of restaurant food left a lot to be desired, especially rubbery fish and chips. Only one working elevator also.

The room was clean, the staff was nice, the swimming pool schedule is good, down side my child got a rush from the chemicals on it. We could have cleaning, but as it was just 3 days we decided not to have it, however we thought that cleaning was for beds and they would still check rubbish and fill the sachets of tea and coffee, but nope. If we needed something we needed to requested it. The hotel is old but in good state, the sink of our bathroom was broken with cracks on it, however worked fine. I couldn't understand the pictures in the frames that they have, it is like a patch work from a magazine made in primary school, I couldn't catch the combination with the rest of the decoration, but that doesn't matter. We didn't eat there, prices and menu were not interesting for us.

Expedia failed to advise the hotel that we had paid for dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel had only been told bed and breakfast. This caused unecessary hassle and persisted throughout our stay. This is something Expedia caused and wasn't the hotels fault.

The staff are very welcoming. The hotel is very clean and the room is spotless and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and we will be returning.

Good room, decent leisure center and good food

The room was clean with a good view. The swimming pool, steam room and sauna was great too. The breakfast was really tasty with a great selection.

Friendliness of staff throughout hotel. Facilities on site are fabulous & enhance the whole relaxation experience.

Excellent stay throughout. Clean rooms. We got upgraded to family room. The receptionist was very welcome and pleasant.

Booked a balcony room with racecourse view but got a ground floor room with car park view. Not sure if fault with the hotel or hotels.com

From booking in to enteringvthe room the services and cleanliness was excellent. The room standard was warm clean and properly prepared. The bar and food service was informal and professionally presented.

Room was clean and all staff were friendly. The room had everything you needed for a good Stay. A great location which was peaceful and had some fantastic spa facilities, however they were very busy at times. Would recommend

Fresh menu lovely staff and clean room

For a 4 star rather expensive hotel I would expect there to be room flip flops and gowns to go down to the pool area with. Also charging for lockers and car parking is a lot baring in mind the cost per room. Larger options at the bar also very minimal.
