This hotel is only for those wanting to stay on Whyte Ave, stayed here two weekends in a row and both rooms were lacking (bedding, broken coffee maker, hole in the shower wall, etc). First room was very clean but second had what appeared to be blue toothpaste on the floor and vanity. It was cleaned up with a facecloth but not what you want to see in a “clean room”.

Very pleased with the early check-in! Lobby was comfortable, rooms were clean. Great location in Old Strathcona and not too far to University of Alberta. Would stay there again.

Hotel delivered as promised - a comfortable, clean hotel and room in an interesting and walkable neighborhood. Some nice touches in the lobby, some interesting restaurants in the neighborhood.

Check in was easy with street side parking. Alex at the front desk was very helpful. The desk and cleaning staff were all top notch. The room was very nice. My only issue was that, as a person with mobility issues, transitioning from the hotel to the parkade involves dime amour of stairs. Otherwise, amazing stay.

water temperature was far too low, making it very uncomfortable to shower.

The marketing is infinitely better than the hotel. Two big holes in the bedspring, dirty hallways and elevator. Extremely basic but good location for my needs.

Good room

We stayed here to be near my father in the hospital. The hotel has comfortable rooms, which appear to be recently renovated and they also have excellent staff. We spent two nights here in January and this last stay was our third and fourth nights. We would definitely stay here again due to the central location to everything and the wonderful staff.

Nice place only complaint is I couldn’t get much hot water for my shower it only ever was warmish

The room was quite dated. Bed was not great ans the black out curtains didnt close all the way. No hit water in the shower. The bathroom was renovated. The flooring was nice

Noisy, poor welcome and service, HVAC was broken & room felt like a sauna. Little timely support from front desk. Hard to reach front desk.

front desk staff was very rude when we checked in. she did not greet us, just straight up said "can i see your id" as the first hello. the front desk worker was impolite, did not even tell me what i was paying for, did not share any information about the hotel or anything. there were hairs on the toilet seat upon arrival to the room. will not be staying here again.

There is quite alot of street noise at night and throughout the night - at every hour from 3am...4am...5am...6am...there was a loud mechanical sounding bang (seven bang sounds). No idea what this was and there were no voices associated with it, so it didn't seem like a knocking on a door. It sounded "interior wall or mechanical"?? Extremely annoying and when you have to be well rested for an athletic Team Alberta tryout the next day - this was incredibly frustrating. Not impressed.
