The staff were helpful and pleasant, the breakfast buffet was hot and offered a good selection. The Evening meals were delicious, but possibly a bit over priced. Be careful on leaving bags on the balcony... a raven was able to open up a zippered bag and empty it's contents! Our fault of course, but beware!!

We loved this stay, and really wished we had more nights booked! It was quiet, the chalets were charming and the views were spectacular. Games in the main lodge were a great bonus since we have a 9 year old.

It was so calm and peaceful! Our room was cozy and the staff delightful!

The location of the hotel is lovely, there is a free shuttle service from the carpark which is helpful. The rooms are dated and in need of updating - some aspects of the room appear to not have been updated for a long time and show lots of visible signs of wear. some of the staff were lovely - one of our shuttle drivers was excellent and gave us more information about the hotel than the front desk staff. we spent two evenings in the bar and unfortunately the atmosphere was not great. Several staff members were off shift and became very drunk. It made it feel like we were interrupting a private evening. It made us cut our evening short which was a shame as the food and drinks were really nice. Upon checking out we were struggling up some snowy and icy steps with our luggage and a staff member also walked past and didn’t bother helping. We’ve had better stays in cheaper hotels that offer MUCH better value for money.

This place is rustic and beautiful. If you are in a lower room in the cabin expect to hear everything upstairs and the floors are extremely creaky. Hot tub was nice and change house was clean and stocked with towels.

Our two-night stay at Emerald Lake Lodge was a memorable highlight of our road trip. Traveling with our Pomeranian-Chihuahua, we loved how welcoming the property felt—perfect for strolling around the peaceful grounds and even walking out onto the frozen lake, which made for a truly magical experience. The shuttle service was convenient and seamless, with friendly, reliable drivers who made getting around easy. Evenings were especially cozy thanks to the delicious cocktails crafted by the bartender, which we enjoyed right in front of the fireplace in our room—such a relaxing touch after a day outdoors. The only downside was the bathroom shower: while the water pressure was strong, it was quite loud and the hot water fluctuated a bit. That said, it didn’t take away much from an otherwise lovely stay. Overall, we left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience.

I enjoyed my stay in this place, I love the foods in the restaurant, food is all great. The room is clean and comfortable only needs to upgrade the comforter it’s a bit old.

Our stay was wonderful, however much less to do in the winter than summer months. Rooms were clean and tidy, and guest services were available with anything we needed. The only area of concern was there were no mini-fridges in the room, so having littles ones with us for snacks was tough - but we managed and would not fault the lodge for this. Just something to be aware of when bringing babies and little ones. Overall, nice weekend to disconnect and the Easter activities were a lovely idea to keep kids busy!

Property shows its age, but that is part of the charm. It’s over a hundred years old, lovely and quaint.

What an incredible stay at Emerald Lake Lodge! The location right on the stunning turquoise lake is absolutely breathtaking. Our cozy cabin with a fireplace and lake view was perfect. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm and helpful. A true Rocky Mountain paradise — highly recommended!
