It's definitely not the newest lodge, but that is what gives it character! Emerald Lake Lodge found a place in our hearts and we will return here every time we visit Banff/Jasper in the future. The staff was beyond helpful. We ask for soap and a new fire-starter while waiting for our tablet for dinner. One of the staff members grabbed them and started to hand them to me. With out missing a beat the manager stopped him and said they would have them delivered to our room and for us to just enjoy our dinner! Wow. Great service!

Our stay was a dream come true. The restaurants were amazing, the cabin was perfect, and the staff was so nice. The lake was so beautiful, and it was one of the best spots we visited during our week long time in Canada. I could not recommend Emerald Lake Lodge more!

Le lodge est situé dans un endroit merveilleux. le batiment de réception+restaurant est très sympathique. La qualité culinaire des plats proposés par le restaurant est top et le rapport qualité/prix excellent. Le petit déjeuner, par contre, nous a semblé cher pour la nourriture proposée. En revanche, meme si le décor est original et chaud, notamment avec une vraie cheminée au vrai feu de bois, notre chambre avait besoin d'un bon rafraichissement, la literie n'était pas très confortable et, en général, les équipements vieillots. Un plus cependant avec la machine à expresso dans la chambre.

After 15 years we were able to return to this beautiful hotel. As wonderful as we remembered. What could be nicer than having a cabin next to a beautiful lake, surrounded by mountains. Staff is wonderful. Location is very convenient. Close to Lake Louise. Right off the parkway. It certainly checks off all of our boxes.

A great place to stay in a fantastic unique setting. Staff were first rate - friendly and attentive. Dinner in the Lodge was excellent. Overall, thoroughly recommend as a brilliant place to visit.

Beautiful spot to stay.

Emerald Lake Lodge is a beautiful property. The cabins were nice with a fireplace for heat and a porch to sit and enjoy the view. This is a wonderful place to go to be off the grid and relax.

This place is amazing! Rooms, service, food and it's so quiet. You can truly unwind and relax at this quaint property.

Unique secluded resort! Was a nice romantic getaway!

This was a piece of Heaven on Earth! Absolutely perfection! We loved everything from the room, the views, the food, the staff, & the amenities! You can’t go wrong staying here! Room 124 was ours, & it has a clear view of the lake, so we highly recommend trying to get it. It does have stairs to get up to the room from the outside. Was not a concern for us though.

This is a rustic upscale lodge. Great views of Emerald Lake. The hotel rooms are in four plexes. They are very dated but the wood burning stone fires places are great. The staff is attentive. The dining room dinner was not my favourite. Glad we stayed one night as it’s a special plane but needs some upgrades.

Great place to stay

Our stay at Emerald Lake was absolutely amazing. The room was great, the staff was great and food was amazing. We did not want to leave. Highly recommend!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Emerald Lodge, a beautiful unique location within the Yoho National Park. The view of the lake from our room was wonderful and it was so quiet and peaceful. A shuttle is provided to transfer you to and from their parking lot to the lodge. We found breakfast disappointing. No food or drink of your own is permitted on the property.

Location is unbeatable, staff courteous and helpful, the main lodge is excellent and the food delicious - but the room was tired: battered paintwork, toilet pan not secured to the floor, big chips to the enamel in the bath, cord pulls missing from the blind strings … opportunity for some TLC here.

Great lake view

Our stay at Emerald Lake was great. The beauty of the place makes up for some of the aging that we noticed on the property. The beds were very comfortable and linens were spotless. Having a fireplace in the room was lovely on a cool night. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the Burgess dining room. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff could not have been more accommodating our friendly. It is a bit of a nuisance to have to take a shuttle from the parking lot to the lodge, then have your bags moved again from the lodge to our room, but again, the staff were wonderfully accommodating and made it a seamless as possible. We never had to wait for anything very long at all. We really enjoyed walking the loop around the lake. Some of the trail is not in great shape, but it was marked as such, and we managed quite nicely, enjoying all the beauty that surrounded us. I would certainly return to the lake and I would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Great place, conveniently located in emerald lake.

Emerald Lake Lodge was excellent, you cannot beat the location. The property was very well maintained, kept clean and accessible. Improvements: the pillows weren't very comfortable, too flat, and having lunch at Cilantro on the Lake and not being able to get coffee! Coffee should be served at all dining establishments :)
