The property is long past its heyday. It has fallen into disrepair and most amenities are no longer available (e.g. restaurant, bar, television, vending machines, etc.). Unfortunately, to add to the disappointment, ads for the "resort" do not reflect this and attempt to represent that the facilities and services are all still in place. In my opinion this is false advertising and they should be admonished for such deception.

Only two large towels, and washcloths (they had a weird smell, musky and definitely not pleasant) sheets itchy and rough. Flashes of cold water during shower. Room sooo outdated. Table outside so dilapidated top popped completely off, plastic chairs dirty and so worn. Property outside dirty, garbage on ground an old run down kids park and “tennis court” with no net broken up concrete. No restaurant no ice machine no Satelite tv, nor a smart tv. This place was just garbage absolutely terrible experience! Do not stay here, run down and it’s a sinking ship. Do not stay here!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property itself appears to be a few decades old, and in desperate need of renovations and updating. Restaurant was closed. No cable TV or satellite. It was perfect for what I needed as a single traveller, but I wouldn't take my wife or family there.

Clean room, friendly staff and accessible parking

The room was clean but dated. They are doing some renovations, so amenities were not operating (Outdoor pool, restaurant, tennis courts and deck) property needs some updates. the Cable was out when we were there. Good location and nice gold course attached. I hope they continue renos and investment as has lots of potential.

It was not even close to what was advertised. We arrived to staff coming out to the parking lot and saying the restaurant on site was closed. We picked the place based on amenities offered. The rooms our group had booked were all differently priced even though they were booked as the same. Staff attempted to break in to one of our rooms. The golf course is in terrible condition.

There was NO lunch room that was available. I had to drive into town to get some food. I had come a long way and had eaten little. I have stayed there a number of times, but I will not be again.

The property was good, but needed some upkeep.

There was nothing we liked about this hotel. Even though pictures on line presented a beautiful well maintained resort with a restaurant, it has none of those things. Doors don't lock, grass needed mowing. Property is bad need of repairs. Dumpsters outside our balcony with am ashtray in a no smoking room.

A dying place, please either invest in upkeep or close.

This is an aging and dated venue. We stayed in a “villa” room. The fold out couch bed mattress had the stuffing literally coming out of it. The carpet in the entry way was grossly stained. The living room furniture was also very old and dirty. I will say the beds in the bedroom were clean and comfortable and having a fireplace was nice. No breakfast on site.

The property is definitely dated, but v clean. Needed a place to stay for a local race which required 3 nights accommodation. Price was right, and then I was also informed at check in that bc the pool wasn’t open, I would be receiving an additional discount. Nice! Staff were wonderful, and provided me a lot of detail about what amenities were on site, AND the restaurant was open until 10pm which was great! Bed was comfy, loved having a balcony overlooking the little pond in front of the property. Parking and room access was easy, and room was well-equipped with a fridge and toiletries. Also the softest towels I’ve ever experienced at a hotel! Would love to come back in the summer with my kiddo to explore the area and facilities further.

We stayed in a villa with a nice view of the golf course. The resort overall is dated and in need of a reno. However, our room was spacious with a large bedroom of 2 comfortable queen beds, a full bath with jacuzzi tub, a kitchenette with microwave and bar fridge, and a sunken livingroom with gas fireplace and separate diningroom. Lots of windows with natural light. We had problems lighting the gas fireplace but the maintenance came promptly and got it working. The ceiling fan was too noisy to have on all the time, but did move the air. Unfortunately, the pool and fitness room were closed for maintenance while we were there, so I cannot comment on them. The Stone 21 restaurant does not serve breakfast so we went to nearby Haliburton. We did eat dinner at the Stone 21 and the food was very good! Prices were reasonable for a resort. We didn't use the golf course, but many people did! It was a pleasant stay but I think it will be a while before we are back.

Our ceiling vent in bathroom was leaking water, husband fixed it. Carpet needs to be replaced in main area, old and dated

. Beds were comfortable and clean but carpet was worn and dirty table and coffee table were dirty. Staff never replenish towels or coffee machine supplies for our second day. Exterior of our villa needed maintenance. Landscaping was overgrown. Meals were average at best

I wasn’t expecting much after reading negative reviews about the Pinestone, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. While indeed dated and in need of remodeling, our suite was large and very comfortable. The two couches desperately needed replacement, but the rest of the furniture was fine, and the grounds were lovely. This resort needs some tlc to return to its former glory, and will be fantastic if that ever happens.
