My entire experience with Expedia was horrible. Will not book through them again. We booked to stay at deerhurst, my family came down with a flu bug and we’re not able to travel. I called Deerhurst who said I had to go through Expedia. I spoke to a representative and asked if we could get a refund or a credit to switch our stay. The representative made it seem as though this would not be an issue, told me not to contact Expedia they would take care of it and i would hear in 24 hours. I received multiple emails from different reps, over 3 days that they were working on this and to not contact them. They reported no one at deerhurst was answering. I find this hard to believe. By this time my stay had come and gone. I received an email yesterday saying sorry nothing could be done. I could tell from the email the representatives did not know my situation, they had suggested I call deerhurst resort to see about changing my booking. My scheduled stay had already passed- I didn’t contact deerhurst, as they directed me not to. I understood when calling there may have been anything they could do, they let me on to believe they could assist with this one time issue. We’ve booked through Expedia before I was surprised at the total lack of customer service/poor management of this situation. Do better Expedia. I will take my money elsewhere thanks!

Everything! The best bed ever!! I slept so well. The resort is Amazing!! Friendly staff too!!

Very good resort!

It was a nice little getaway in the winter. We liked the winter activities like snow shoeing and skating. We didn't like having to always drive back to our room every time. Overall nice stay with little activities to keep the kids entertained.

Staff was lovely, restaurant was very nice. Room spacious and clean with a nice view. Downside was a large amount of teenagers running through the halls sceaming until 1 am which we feel should have been monitored and quieted down

Pls try to provide some more amenities for the Bayshore rooms like a kettle and microwave, thanks.

Everything was perfect

Room was average, food quality too, most of the items are over priced, there was tip request even for self serving items, sound like management trying to grab every penny that is possible even for no reason. Most like a money trap

Some of the Christmas events can't find. If you ask staff they even don't know about that.

Deerhurst has a beautiful vibe. Pool amenities dirty. Pool changerooms unhygienic. This was our main issue. The pavillion rooms need updating. The ambiance and experience is far to beautiful to let go and not renovate. This place is truly special, this company should take more pride in it. My son loved his experience. Family friendly!

Lots of stuff to do at the resort, snow shoeing, skating, nice pool, etc. Staff were courteous and welcoming as well

Overnight manager helpful. Good fun for kids and good activities. A bit like clamping for adults. 9 hours to get bed changed after child's accident. Found the staff are helpful but mostly not equipped and likely understaffed. Late room. 2 towels despite family booking. Hard to get any supplies. Garbage pickup - not happening. Probably would not book again during peak season.

Best experience

Everything was great. Food was delicious and staff were pretty good. Nothing amazing or terrible stood out to me. Definitely not a go to vacation spot because there are so many conference rooms, maybe in the summer it would be better. More ideal for business trips.

No housekeeping, only upon 24 hrs request. Lack of amenities in the room (no tea, limited coffee, no extra towels, no garbage bags)

Not enough to do for adults in winter especially after 7pm. Room didn't have a smart TV with Netflix or prime.

The best part of our stay was the Drift Kitchen & Bar where we had dinner and breakfast. The food was amazing, and so were the staff; in particular Christine who was with us through dinner. The staff on the front desk were not helpful at all. In fact two people we spoke with were snarky. We had booked our room through Expedia to save a bit of money, and truthfully felt punished by your staff. Our travel plans changed, bringing us to Huntsville one day early so we called to ask for a second night. We were told that because we booked through Expedia. they weren't allowed to change our reservation (understandable), but when we asked to add on a night and pay for it separately we were told to do it online ourselves. When we tried to do so, the system would not allow us because the online booking system is hard-wired to force a 2-night stay on Friday's and Saturdays. We called back one more time and a different person answered the phone, and was just as unhelpful. Given the hotel was empty (and 2 staff told us that people had been laid off due to low bookings), we would have thought you would have appreciated the revenue. Despite the hotel being empty, we were placed in the first room off the foyer where we could hear staff talking and music playing. There were people on other floors (we learned while checking out at the same time). In our room there were big dust balls in multiple spots on the ceiling and floor, and our bed skirt was ripped. Also, the tub was not clean.
