Great location. Amazing views of the tip of Baha. Service was Amazing From front desk. Pool staff was just ok, to busy with their own agendas… this is a great location and their newer property next-door is impeccable. Awesome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Solmar. We purchased the breakfast only package and really enjoyed starting our day at restaurant with ocean view. I was surprised that our room came with two bathrooms which was nice for my daughter staying in living room area.

Big rooms with kitchen. One bathroom glass door was missing and one stove burner was not working. Ocean Views at the room are amazing but the beach is very dangerous and swimming is never permitted. We will not return. Staff was seldom nice only three were nice of many that we spoke with. Most employees were afraid of management. Too sad.

So let me clarify, I guess there's an old and a new section. We were only there for one night so they stuck us in the old rooms. I'm assuming. These rooms are old in need of updating not the cleanest beds aren't the most comfortable sheets and pillows are scratchy. I went for a walk and the new side is spectacular. Very nice. Now we were never in a room, but I'm assuming the judging by the exterior of the place that it was way better than where we were. I would consider the room that we were in to be a one star room. So if you're booking, make sure you ask for the new side because the old side, I most likely wouldn't stay there for free.

Great for families. Walking distance to downtown. Small pools, poor restaurant options. Definitely recommend if plan to cook your own meals in the kitchenette.

The swim up bar was amazing

My family really enjoyed our stay at Solmar Resort and we look forward to returning! The ocean view was beautiful, the resort was immaculately clean and the staff were all very friendly and attentive! We loved the location and freedom of not doing the all-inclusive option so we could also try restaurants near the marina.

Solmar resort and their stuffs really care about customer’s satisfaction, you always can ask for customization according to your need and they’ll do that for you without hesitation! Nice & clean room, even though I booked a studio they upgraded me to a suite without asking and any extra fees! I had all inclusive: Food was delicious and the best part was their breakfast! Pool was clean and enjoyable! You can’t complain…

Room is huge with a spacious living room, equitesd with sofa, dinner table, coffee table. There are Two bathroom and two baths. Plenty of storage area. It is in a convenient location. 15 mins walk to busy Marina area, where we can find a lot of Resterants and activities. It is a beach front resort. Enjoyed beach view and beach walk. But beach is not swimmable. Absolutely worth the money.

We had a fantastic week at Solmar! The pool with the swim up bar was so fun, served great food and drinks and was centrally located to the beach and restaurant. Louis (server) and Eric (bartender) went above and beyond and took great care of us at the pool. The bartender in the grill restaurant was fantastic too! Food was excellent at grill and in the restaurant.

I almost feel bad saying the room was dated because it was clean, had a beautifil view and everyone was soooo nice.

I have stayed at the Solmar a few times and have had great experiences. The staff is very friendly and kind. This time was still good, but unfortunately our AC unit didn’t work at all throughout the stay. We asked for people to come fix it and they said it was fixed, but then it wouldn’t start or turn on. Otherwise the rest of the stay was good and good service.
