I stayed at Hotel Elba in Motril for a weekend and had a very pleasant experience. The room was spotless and had a lovely balcony with views of the beach. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was included in the price and offered a good variety of foods and drinks, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. The hotel also has both indoor and outdoor pools, though I didn’t get the chance to use them, so I can’t comment on those facilities. Parking cost €7 per day, which I found reasonable for the area. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, the sound insulation is a bit of an issue as you can hear people speaking in the next room but I would definitely choose Hotel Elba again for a future visit to Motril.

Breakfast was good, the view was good, staff very helpful. It’s an up and coming location very quaint and local. Nothing negative to say other than the property itself will need updates within 3 years

Not what was advertised

All the employees were very friendly, even the cleaning staff! The walls are thin so you will hear your neighbours but the amenities are beautiful. I highly recommend choosing the “all-inclusive” option for meals. The buffets were first rate and had everything labelled carefully if you have food sensitivities (like gluten intolerance or a severe nut allergy).

This is a lovely hotel with helpful staff. Very good breakfast which was excellent value for money. Would recommend this hotel to families and couple alike

Good location, very clean and friendly staff.

This hotel pleasantly surprised me when I entered. It did not look spectacular but the rooms and hallways were nicely updated. Service was terrific.Breakfast was excellent. The only drawback was the noise from the avenue below at night with the window open (note, not uncommon or out of ordinary in Spain!).

Brilliant location with a good selection for breakfast. Shame both lifts were broken and no offer to help us up to the third floor ( we are both over 70). Also WiFi was hit and miss and there was no TV signal.

Hotel is clean and the facilities are of a high standard. Parking on-site is 7€ / night and is limited so if you are staying during a busy time you may have issues. We got a room upgrade as the hotel had not taken our booking from Hotels.com. This was a nice gesture. The beach is mostly gravel and stone / pebbles and is across a road and promenade from the hotel. The sea is actually about 400 to 500 meters from the hotel.Hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool and indoor jacuzzi.

Idea location for our purpose with lovely sea views Had a wonderful time. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Just would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room as not able to have any with room service.

How can anyone enjoy a stay when on arrival being told that check in is at 3pm, especially after letting them know that we would be arriving early and they acknowledged that? This from a 4 star hotel! Upon complaining they use the feable excuse that checkout is at noon, as if they need to clean all the rooms, after noon, and let everyone one in at 3pm. Absurd, especially in the low season of mid-October and when group tours and business people leave early.

This hotel is amazing! I stay there whenever I come in Motril. The rooms are spacious and the facilities are very nice. Also the lady working at the reception is very kind

Very much enjoyed the peacefulness of the property and the scene. Very helpful and patient staff. Room service collection of tray wasn't entirely great. Did not receive fresh bathroom towels during daily room cleaning for some reason.

Decent location.

Steps from the beach, rooms were spacious and we had a great view. Easy to get around. Staff were so helpful and nice.

It is a very nice hotel with confortable rooms. The food was tasty. The wifi was not very fast. The staff friendly but apart from the reception nobody else could speak in English

Check-in was easy. The room and bathroom were a decent size but décor was tired. No guest tray or kettle and basic toiletries. The TV turned on every time you entered the room which I found annoying. The walls were so thin if I knew Spanish I would know what my neighbour was saying and if he has a partner I feel sorry for them with his snoring. The breakfast buffet was average with very greasy scrambled eggs. There was an omelet station but no one manning it. You needed a swimming hat for the pool so I could not use that facility. Would not stay here again. It's a three star hotel.
