Whalers Cove Oceanfront Resort is top notch! We could not have asked for more…ocean views right from our living room, the sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep each night, steps away from the heated pool and hot tub overlooking the Pacific and a beautiful, grassy lawn overlooking the ocean just perfect for whale, sea turtle and dolphin watching. Our unit was spacious with an open kitchen, dining and living room. Large bathrooms with walk in showers and double sinks, a huge walk in closet and nice kitchen with full size appliances. The unit was well appointed with a relaxed island feel. It is very comfortable and stocked with any amenity you may need. We especially enjoyed the framed prints of photos taken by the owner of beautiful spots all around Hawaii (and the binoculars)! The General Manager was exceptional from the time we booked until after our departure, as was the rest of the staff. Everyone we encountered at the resort were warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Communication and recommendations from the manager for local attractions were spot on and certainly added to our trip. We booked a boat tour based on her recommendation and had a blast. We were amazed at the ocean wildlife we saw…Manta Rays, Humpback Whales breaching, Monk Seals, Spinner and Bottle Nose Dolphins…all set to the breathtaking beauty of the Na’Pali Coast.

The most beautiful property in Koloa. Very quiet except for the sound of the crashing waves. You can see dolphins, turtles and whales from your lanai. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here 3 times and have called this place my home in Kauai. It’s truly magical!

This was the best trip ever! Not only did we get the best room in the best condo but it was so close to everything. Everyone was so friendly. One of the nicest things was the shopping center that was within walking distance. You have a choice of restaurants and many shops to go purchasing. Already planning our next trip.

We came to Kauai for the marathon and the staff and property were all absolutely wonderful and so kind. I will definitely come back to this property in the future!

It’s an old dated property, we had a great time and the location is fantastic. It’s just an old dated property that is over priced imo.

The staff was great, and despite the large number of chickens on the island, this area was largely chicken free, so no rooster wakeup calls.

Whalers Cove is amazing! I am so glad I chose this over the fancy hotel resorts. plenty of space, big kitchen, washing machine and dryer, personal service. direct ocean front. Eileen and Marianne were so welcoming. I want to come back. Thank you Eileen and Marianne!

The staff was excellent. Very attentive to our needs. Loaned us beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys. The view was wonderful! Pool and barbecue were very nice. The kitchen could have been cleaner, but very well stocked. No AC. That took a couple of days to acclimate to, but overall not a problem even for my son who feels the heat.

Very nice 2 bedroom condo, the most completely kitchen-equipped than we've had. Note that this was an end unit, second floor, with one a partial view of the ocean, but plenty of deck space.

Perfect quiet place for a 5-night stay. Amazing ocean views and easy travel to both sides of the island.

Enjoyed watching the waves break on the rocky shore outside our window. We also saw sea turtles and seals swimming in the surf from our balcony. THe proximity of some beatiful beaches was also a plus.

Perfect size for us. Pool was generally very quiet. Condos were well stocked with items we needed. Walking distance to several shops / restaurants.

We loved the location and views. The pool was so nice and clean and the landscaping was beautiful. The condo was pretty hot but they provide fans. We ended up sleeping downstairs as it was cooler.

We had a very large suite, and the views were amazing. However, the temperature was warm/hot, and this property did not have air conditioning.

This is the ideal setting for a romantic getaway! The hotel staff go above and beyond to help you reserve local activities and reservations. We’d definitely come back!
